O'Reilly - ill informed, ill behaved.
But I must say that CNN has some gall. It has consistently put itself up as the beacon of broadcast journalism and taken snarky shots at those it considers of lesser quality.
Well, the halcyon days at CNN have now come to an end. The network's ratings have collapsed, and so have its ethical standards. I don't know what's in your pipe, Ted Turner, but if there's room, put that assessment in there and smoke it.
Think so? I find it 100% believable. ;O)
Thanks for the ping!
Carville and Begala need to resign from the Clinton News Network.
Every news media is biased to a certain degree. FOX News at leasts admits to it. The other networks don't admit to it.
You're right. FOX News does make every effort to be fair and balance, unliked the other networks. Well, still we are all biased to a certain degree.
THIS might be the reason for the slant:
George Soros Gets Involved In Turner's NTV Bid
Todd Jatras, Forbes.com, 01.29.01, 3:54 PM ET
NEW YORK - Hungarian-born billionaire financier George Soros said today he was involved "in a small way" in Ted Turner's bid to buy a 25% stake in Russian television station NTV.
While Soros described his role in the deal as symbolic, his involvement certainly adds to the building pressure on the Russian government to come clean on its plans regarding freedom of the press.
NTV is the only one of Russia's three major networks that is not state-controlled, but Vladimir Putin's government has done everything within its power to take control of the station. Putin's government charged Vladimir Gusinsky, a Russian oligarch associated with Boris Yeltsin, with embezzlement last June. Those charges were dropped after Gusinsky agreed to transfer Media-Most--his conglomerate of newspaper and broadcasting properties that includes NTV--to natural-gas monopoly Gazprom for $300 million. Gusinsky claims that he was forced into that agreement under duress while in jail.
