Gov. McGreevey Is Gay, And Still Popular
A month after he shocked the nation by announcing he had had a gay extramarital affair and would resign, Gov. James E. McGreevey's approval ratings have remained steady, according to a new poll.

When Bush was @ 46 it was bad but when he is @ 46 its good?
LOL!
The Startled Beggar paper was and continues to be a marginal toilet tissue paper.
Since when is an approval rating of less than 50% considered "popular" ?
"No human beings live in NJ
They are mind-numb robots working in NYC or Phylly and sleeping in NJ
How else can any state elect governors like florio, kean, whitman, McGAY (whatever party)"
I take umbrage to your remarks. I for one did not vote for Florio or McGreevey. I voted for Whitmann because she was the better candidate.
What state are you from?
The 46% approval rate is b/c he's resigning.
We fight a losing battle pretty much every November on Election Day, but we keep up the good fight in hopes of better days. We have small successes once in a while (Congressmen Chris Smith and Scott Garrett). Bret Schundler might have been the governor if he'd had the support of the RINO GOP bosses in NJ.
Rather than slam and stereotype us, perhaps some good Freepers can offer constructive advice on how we NJ GOP'ers can more effectively combat the liberal elements of NJ government and the entrenched (mostly Rat, but some GOP) party bosses. Whaddaya say, Freepers? Thanks.
PS: On a somewhat-related note.... check out www.JerseyGOP.com. We may not always be able to get our good candidates elected, but sites like this help ease the pain. (Disclaimer: not affiliated with the website in any way)

NJ"
So am I. Before looking at what the governor did, look at what your local leaders did. Look at your property taxes.
The Governor of NJ is worthless. Always has been.
