The DNC should be ashamed of themselves for pushing this noble man out in front in the twilight of his career, and make him say things he doesn't really understand.

The problem is that he was saying the same kinds of things in the dawn of his career.

Dan's birthday is on Halloween? Somehow seems appropriate. He's been wearing the "impartial journalist" mask for decades.

Dan Rather never was a Marine (he flunked boot camp) but he likes to play one on TV.
To: finnigan2
Dan gets more than $7 million per year as a base salary plus other incentives
Doesn't this make him one of the 'Evil Rich People' his precious democratic party is constantly whining about?

To: finnigan2
Instead of a "feeble defense," Rather could have done a story on "How They Fooled Me" which could have been interesting and run for several weeks. Of course, that would have taken some investigative work and the ability to realize that credibility can be restored by journalism, but not by self-important mouthings.

Now THAT'S one classy hit piece.
Hadn't heard "the rest of the story" about "What's the frequency, Kenneth," or the kidnapped story. I must say I am still laughing.
