Call your local CBS affiliate and ask them how one goes about filing a letter in their relicensing file. Broadcasting "Facts" from forged documents, with the objective of affecting a presidential election, is AGAINST the public interest. Get your local broadcast affiliate onboard to scream at CBS news. Your local affiliate has a broadcast license at risk, and can therefore become highly motivated.
As long as they keep Bush's record as President and Kerry's record in the Senate out of the news cycle, they are far from road kill.
They are doing what they must do to win.
I take that as a narrow disclaimer, not a broad one. He is saying "we didn't author or create those." He is not saying "we never saw them until CBS put them on the air." I would assume both the DNC and Kerry camp handled this set of documents, before CBS saw them.

Probably so...I was struck by the lack of knowledge the forger demonstrated. For example, during the 70's almost everyone had a secretary. Now with computers, most people have to do their own typing...my husband lost his secretary at GM recently...which he hates because my husband doesn't type. I can assure you, he would never type a memo...he hand writes everything. Also, the CYA memo. I am a Navy brat...the brass asked for preferential treatment for certain people (I bet they still do), but no one in their right mind would write a memo acknowledging this...it would never be admitted. The person who did this has watched too many 'I was following orders' movies. This person believes that if a superior orderer Killian to do this ...than the CYA document provides well 'cya' if caught. It doesn't. This memo would be akin to a smoking gun.

The contempt Dan Rather has for the public just oozes out of his mouth...he is the great Dan Rather. I don't believe CBS was "duped"or "hoaxed". I believe Dan Rather is in bed with kerry's campaign and working actively with them to defeat the President. Rather is not an innocent here - he is part and parcel of a criminal fraud perpetrated on behalf of kerry. This is big - way bigger than Watergate or any other campaign irregularity.
In fact, the majority of the MSM can be deemed "in bed" with the kerry campaign, and I would not be surprised to see them linked closely to the bogus docs.
I agree - this may lead to Harkin. We need to work to track this down. It seems Harkin was all over this before it even broke, with prepared text. Given his USAF " combat service", and his hatred of the President plus his obvious lies about his air force activities, this is a natural. He needs to be driven from office. "Senator", indeed. I would argue this statement is not true because Dan Rather blatently and brazenly declared the Florida 2000 election for Algore before the polls closed in the central time zone. There are estimates of 10,000 voters not voting as a result of the blatent and brazen act by Dan Rather and CBS news.
