Chris Matthews is "worried that MSNBC parent Microsoft might pull funding and shutter 'Hardball.' That would force Matthews to look for another berth - possibly on Fox." ...Matthews' contract reported has a provision saying he gets a job at NBC if MSNBC gets sold. It is reported by several sources that Rick Kaplan, who left CNN in the wake of the Tailwind scandal and now runs MSNBC, is a big backer (for whatever reason) of Matthews.

Matthews on Fox? He'll be competing with John Kerry, who will be looking for (what the rich call) work pretty soon now. George W. Bush will win reelection by a margin of at least ten per cent.

Kerry, Gore and Mathews are going to form a coalition.
The Coalition of the Unhinged.

Why doesn't Matthews get a job for the WWE?
To: SunkenCiv
He keeps this up and he'll joing pat buchanan in standing outside of Network gates holding a "Will Trash The President For Air Time" sign.
To: SunkenCiv
How far up does he have to go to get to the bottom?

Considering the direction MSNBC is obviously heading, they'll probably be bringing back Phil Donahue anytime now.

If he can master the "cans on bottom, soft items like bread on top" skillset, he might find a new job.

Yeah, crack me up, Woofie. That was good.

Why not, Fox is taking on all the liberal rejects. Can you hear me Greta, Geraldo, Wallace Juan Williams and the list goes on.

"force Matthews to look for another berth - possibly on Fox." Shep: "Chris how many tmes do I have to tell you? ONE sugar! Okay? I want my coffee with just cream and one -what?"
Chris: "Sugar, sir. One sugar"

While I appreciate your humor, there's no way Kerry could hold down a talk show, not even a fractional role.
The guy has no core, doesn't know what he stands for, and is only capable of whining.

The spitter just needs some time off. Like a couple of years to think about what being an idiot will get you, just when you have success in the palm of your hand.

Aw geez, I got tired of wiping the spit off of my tv screen while watching Hardball. Then I switched to Fox. Now, I may have to wipe off the rabid wetness once again? Geez..........

I agree with a minor exception to Geraldo. Strange as it seems, I think Fox and Geraldo are a good mix. Since Fox put him out in the field reporting I can actually stomach the guy, and he seems to trive on going anywhere. One day you see him with the troops (who seem to get a real kick out of him once he learned security rules) the next he's standing in the middle of a hurricane and loving it.
He's got more energy and guts then most young reporters.

Chris did rally against Clinton when Lewinsky hit. He is a fat liberal but he is also an opportunist for the losing side.
To: SunkenCiv
I would watch Mathews on Fox if he promised not to do the Scott Peterson murder trial like O'Reilly and Greta who I rarely watch anymore. A Fox paycheck did wonders to clean up Whoraldo's act.
