DNC TO LAUNCH FRESH ATTACK ON BUSH GUARD DUTY: WILL RAISE QUESTIONS ABOUT 1978 CAMPAIGN LIT
**Exclusive**
Faster than a CBS eye can blink, dogged Dems are set to take to the airwaves anew hoping to keep questions about President Bush's National Guard duty in play, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Candidate Kerry apparently has rejected former President Clinton's advice not to get further locked in a 2004 Vietnam quagmire.
"George W. Bush's campaign literature claimed that he 'served in the U.S. Air Force.' The only problem? He didn't," slams a new DNC press release set for distribution.
Dems will attempt to increase the heat on Bush ahead of his planned Tuesday address before The National Guard Association gathering in Las Vegas.
In 2000, Bush opened his National Guard Association speech: "General, I am reporting for duty."
MORE
Kerry plans to speak to the group on Thursday, but he personally hold back questioning Bush's service, sources explain.
The coordinated nationwide effort this week by the DNC has been code-named "Project Fortunate Son."
"George Bush has a clear pattern of lying about his military service," DNC Communications Director Jano Cabrera blasts in the new release. "From 1978 to the present day, George Bush has refused to tell voters the truth about his service. It's time for the President to come clean."
"Flyers distributed to Texas voters during Bush's failed Congressional race say 'he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.' But according to Air Force officials, Air National Guardsmen are not counted as members of the active-duty Air Force."

Can't you just smell their despair?
They've had their little "Fortunate Son" campaign planned for months. They are so obvious! First comes Susan Estrich with her threats, then CBS with its stupid forgeries. The dems were caught flat-footed on that one - they're still babbling their talking points even though the points make no sense anymore.
This rehash of charges tells us nothing about President Bush, and everything about the dems.

Or maybe well-known liberal women's magazines like the
Washington Post?
ooo
When Kerry is asked about the nightmares that haunted his sleep for years after he returned from Vietnam, he shrugs. "I don't think I've had a nightmare in a long time," he says. But then Heinz begins to mimic Kerry having a Vietnam nightmare.
"Down! Down, down!" she yells, patting her hands down on her auburn hair.
"I haven't gotten slapped yet," she says. "But there were times when I thought I might get throttled."
Kerry quivers his right foot and steers the discussion to the counseling programs he has supported for Vietnam veterans. Asked if he has been in therapy himself, he non-answers. "It doesn't bother me anymore, I just go back to sleep."
Heinz presses him. "Not therapy for the dreams, therapy for the angst," she says, and looks quizzically at him, awaiting an answer. Kerry shakes his head "No."

Teresa told the Rolling Stone in 2002 and The Washington Post in 2003 that Kerry had nighttime frenzies where he "banged on the walls screamed out and flails around so badly, that she fears he will hit her. Kerry's daughter via Teresa's interview validated the nightime banging and screaming.

With this analogy, Kerry is also lying. He did not serve in the USNAvy, he served only in the USNR, his handlers/DNC better do a little research...Mike1sg

kerry is and ACTUAL sleepwalker. It is not a twist of words. According to ONeil, Kerry ACTUALLY and LITTERALLY was sleepwalking in the combat zone! One of the officers who signed the original swiftvets letter has said he had to put him back to bed during these sleepwalking episodes.
Sleepwalking is a mental/medical problem that does not belong in a combat zone.

There may not be enough drugs to get us through this election cycle.

He did serve in the U.S.A.F.
I truly hope the dems make a big stinkin' deal about this. All Air National Guard units are "Active Duty United States Air Force" during basic training and during technical school. They are active 24/7 for the entire time. GWB was active duty U.S.A.F. for the two years it took him to be trained. There is no question about this at all.

Well that is as false as saying that if you are in the Naval Reserve you are not counted as being in the Navy when you Active training....
Doesn't Kerry realize that these attacks hurt our pround National Guard and Reservists.
