I am CONVINCED that Dan Rather originally wanted to run this story with the forged documents a week before the election to smear Bush. He probably suspected the documents were forged but hoped that Kerry would be elected by the time they were discovered to be false (of course Blather didn't count on the lightening speed revelation of Freeper Buckhead). However, the Democrats were facing desperation because Kerry is slipping so rapidly in the polls so Blather released this story early in September and kept his fingers crossed about the forgeries not being discovered in the interim.

I read the transcript and I am stunned at what I read. Can you imagine if there were some kind of charges against Kerry based on fraudulent documents how the media would be acting? I never watch CNN...or CBS or ABC or NBC.

I watched CNN for the first time in a year or so, Friday (not counting passing views in airports). Paula Zahn was shilling for Rather and CBS. CNN is not coming around, politically.

My sense is that this whole fiasco was manufactured as an attempt (a miserably failed attempt) to take the heat off of John Kerry and put President Bush on the defensive.

It has totally backfired. I just heard on Fox news that a cBS source has now said the the documents are most likely forgeries.

I bet there are a lot of SCREAMING arguments going on at SeeBS right now. Dan Rather is probably the one who keeps INSISTING that they back him on on his ridiculous assertion that the memos are authentic. Trouble is NO REPUTABLE documentation expert will back him up. Even if they are bribeable, they have their future reputations (and incomes) to worry about.

The story should be "Did CBS & the DNC conspire to smear President Bush in an attempt to effect the election?" Precisely! We should all be madder then hell that these DNC pimps are presenting forged documents to CBS and the rest of the prostitutes are sympathizing with the one who got caught by the cops! The networks, Congress and the filthy DNC and Kerry Campaign should be hearing from us loud and strong. We want the "Block" cleared up. The perps should be prosecuted and the prostitutes should get a real day job!
