SANTA FE (AP) - Santa Fe police say an anti-war protest turned physical at a site where the state Department of Transportation is considering banning demonstrations.
The scuffle broke out Friday between an anti-war protester and the sole pro-Bush protester on a traffic island at a busy intersection.
Robert DiGiulio, who carried a sign comparing President Bush to a Nazi, says Richard Corrow hit him in the face and knocked him out of his wheelchair.
But Corrow, whose sign offered a $1,000 reward to anyone who can prove Bush lied about Iraq, says DiGuilio started it by screaming at him and ramming him with the wheelchair.
Peace Action New Mexico has been organizing protests at the corner for two years.
No arrests were made.
A traffic engineer has argued the protests could distract drivers.

Except for the fact I was in Viet Nam too...and my tour was a whole year.
Well, Georgia O'Keefe left in 1916 because the Santa Féans were so full of themselves.
So let's recap: "non-violent" protesters physically attack all who don't agree with them; and members of the "religion of peace" declare war on all who don't agree with them.
Hell, no wonder the Leftists love the terrorists. They both have not only the same delusions, but the same tactics.
I like to wear my NRA baseball cap when I can (like when I'm not working and attempting to look professional). I get strange looks, but no-one has ever gotten in my face.
Her artwork is following suit, as it occasionally leaves Santa Fe, too.
Dollars to donuts the leftie is lying through his teeth. He cant outrun, or even outwalk, a wheelchair?
Well, okay, maybe it's 'cause the back of your Bush/Cheney shirt says, "I haven't taken my meds in a few days." ; )
"Stop hitting my hand with your face!"
Just like a liberal! Crash into someone and blame them because you get hurt! Duh! Pour hot coffee in your lap and sue the person who served you the coffee because it was too hot! Duh! Have a string of babies and then blame the country for your failure to be able to adequately provide for them! Duh!
Yup. Nothing new.
The leftie is the one in the wheelchair.
I know that. They were meant to be seperate sentences. I put a comma instead of a period in between the two statements.
Why would anyone want to strike someone confined to a wheelchair then claim the person in the wheelchair provoked it? I think that was a pretty cowardly act by a no class individual.
Well you weren't there at the end of July then. There was a DNC operative on every corner of market square trying to sign people up to vote. One made the mistake of asking my hubby to help get Bush out of office. We had a good 20-30 "discussion". Got lots of thumbs up from onlookers and prevented him from signing anyone up for awhile. One of the other operatives looked like x42 but I told hubby if he pointed that out the vacation was over.
Actually, I think I was LOL... I can't remember now. It may have been July... Hmmm...
Darn brain cells.
This was the weekend of the Spanish market. Maybe they were out in force because of the expected crowd. BTW..other than that I love Santa Fe also. Just wish it wasn't a liberal haven.
Medicare probably paid for the deadly weapon.
This happened right after 9/11 in Moron County, CA (home of Ratboy). The Communist "Peace & Justice" group starting holding their hate America rallies the weekend after, so a few of us decided to counter them. One of the commies came over and started mouthing off at a veteran in our group, who pushed the guy away. The newspaper called my wife and I (we gave them our phone number as contacts) and said "We found out one of your group assaulted someone in the other group." They're all a bunch of wusses. They're like the smart aleck in class who makes rude noises and blames the kid sitting next to him.
Ok, just checking! :^)
