Large Explosion Reported at North Korea's Chinese Border
BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Yonhap) -- A large explosion occurred in North Korea's northernmost inland province of Yanggang on Sept. 9, a reliable source in Beijing said on Sunday.
Sept. 9 was the 56th anniversary of the North's founding and the country's government had organized various arts performances and sporting events that included a pledge of loyalty to leader Kim Jong-il.
The Chinese source said the explosion took place in Kimhyungjik county, near the Chinese border, speculating that it was probably bigger than the explosion that largely destroyed another North Korean border town, Ryongchon, on April 22.

Either a nuke or another chemical explosion.
Alarm bells will be going off in CINCPAC and Eighth Army HQ fairly soon.

I'll bet it was a dog. These dogs are getting really smart now. They probably blew up some guys who were coming in search of dinner.

Bigger? WOW! That last one was spectacular!

If it had been a nuke, there would be evidence of it. Radiation would have been detected in South Korea and Japan. Satellites would have detected telltale double flash of an atmospheric nuclear detonation.

The PDRNK are getting pretty careless with the explosives around Emporer Chia.

Hmmm ... could we be seeing a fifth column in North Korea? Could it be that a few North Koreans are getting very sick of eating tree bark while the leadership cadre and the military get the best?
