Fox News Alert at 5:45pm Eastern reports a new unconfirmed audiotape of Abu al-Zarqawi claiming that 'freedom fighters' have 'humiliated' the Coalition, dealing them 'unforgettable slaps.'

I read the article in MEMRI about a feud between Zarqawi and Zarwahiri. I wonder if this isn't somehow related to that.
Also makes you wonder if there is a power struggle going on is Bin Laden still alive.
just give the residents(trying to be nice)of fallugah 24 hours to vacate. 30 seconds into the 25th hr, drop bombs on the whole city. we get rid of a majority of the terrorist. the cost to build the city would be cheap. plenty of mud/clay to make adobe huts. it would be a step up from what they have now.

Thanks. Got it and have been listening. The darn thing is 45 minutes long. I think he and Zawahiri have been hanging out with Baghdad Bob.
From what I've heard so far, it refers to events in July but so far nothing since then. Bear in mind I've listened to 15 minutes or so of 45 minutes. I'll let you know if its anything other than the usual braggadoccio

The article reads as if counterintel has found a new video, in addition to one a few days ago. Maybe in this new one, the gun is on his left.
My guess is that al-Qaeda is losing volunteers in light of Kerry's falling poll numbers, and new videos are more signs of desperation than anything else.
Remember that scene from the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where Harrison Ford watches the swarthy arabic swordsman strutting his swordy moves, then shoots him dead with one bullet? I wish life were still that simple.

Alleged tape of al-Zarqawi; boasts of humiliating U.S.-led forces in Iraq
CAIRO (AP) — An audiotape purportedly by key terror suspect Abu Musab al-Zarqawi boasts in an apparently recent recording that Islamic holy warriors have humiliated the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq.
There was no way to verify the authenticity of the 45-minute recording or the date it was made. The audiotape surfaced Saturday, the third anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, on a Web site known for its Islamic content.
The voice on the tape was similar to that of previous recordings of al-Zarqawi and used a similar style of rhythmic speech. There was no reference to Sept. 11.
The tape, initially spotted by U.S.-based counterterrorism expert Evan Kohlmann, opened with bits of Islamic song and old speeches before introducing the speaker as al-Zarqawi.
"The holy warriors made the international coalition taste humiliation, kicked unforgettable slaps and taught them ... lessons they are still burning from," the speaker said.
The speaker then made reference to the July and August fighting in the Iraqi city of Najaf, saying "it was not Najaf they were after, but the courageous and steadfast Sunni Triangle." He was referring to a large swath of land to the north and west of Baghdad where resistance to the American-led forces is fiercest.
