Down, I had no idea you were struck. Welcome to the Free Republic. I'm sorry you had to go to Australia to find it but I digress. what is the mood in Australia and the UK? Are they "getting" it or still busy blaming George Bush and Tony Blair for stirring up the killer bees in an attempt to exterminate them instead of just ignoring them ala Chamberlain in the hopes that "they will just go away." (Forgive the run on sentance, the times called for it!)

By the way I do percieve a difference between Austrialia and the rest of the UK, sensibilty-wise, I'd just love to have your take on Austrialia first than the UK.

Regards,
Anne

"Welcome to FreeRepublic. I also live in the Titusville, FL. area."

I see that you are from the Port St. John, area. Wasn't that American truck driver who was beheaded in Iraq, from Port St. John? I believe his last name was Johnson. My sister used to have a house there in Port St. John. She recently moved from Mims to Deland. Oh yeah, I used to work at the old WRMF there in Titusville, also WRKT in Cocoa (Rockledge) and at WCKS in Cocoa Beach back in the mid 70's.

Good morning to you, Mother Bear. It's just after midnight here, Sep 12. I guess that makes it morning, doesn't it?

You ask an execptional question. I would say that Australians, for the most part, are more like Americans than any other country in the world. And like in America, not everyone here is pro-Bush or pro-coalition activity in Iraq. And like in America, there are many here who've lost the plot about 9/11. They even have lost the plot that they came within a hairs breath of being over-run by Japan in WWII (sorry to my Asian friends from Japan). But, Australia is very unique in it's pluralistic society. Many Asians, Greeks, Italians like in the United States are melting into mainstream Australia. But, there are many, many other Australians who are proud of America and are standing shoulder to shoulder with America in the fight against the Islamic Extremist terrorist who would have the world be one big Islamic state.

Australians are a bit more laid back than in the UK. They are split right now on breaking away from the UK and being an independant republic. They are very proud of their heritage and are very guarded about being considered the 51st State of America. They are split about remaining part of the UK. Many are wanting to abolish all ties with the royal family.

How are things there in Kansas, Mrs Bear? What part of Kansas?

"Wasn't that American truck driver who was beheaded in Iraq, from Port St. John?"

He had close family ties (father, sister) here in Port St. John, but, I believe his current U.S. address was in N.Y.

Welcome to FR. If you want to know about some of the FReepers you can click on their screen name from their post. Everyone has the "opportunity" to create their own homepage. I've found many of them to be very interesting.

FRee Republic keeps me sane in this crazy world.

I pray that we can find and execute Osama bin Laden, very, very soon!

Ditto to that. Although it would not stop his minions, they've spread out like a bad disease. It's WWIII, although a lot of the world has not yet quite accepted that concept. I think the Russians are catching on, sadly, look what it took.

"Hey Fuzzy how about putting a link on your homepage for future reference, I really like that site, Thanks"

You're welcome. I try.

My home page only has 2 choices "Old site" and "New site". "New Site" IS that links page.

Brush up, get informed and keep spreading the word. Tell your friends, Co-workers and relatives.

Talk to the cashier in the grocery store (they can't be rude to you) and the people behind you will hear - but usually won't inject themselves into your conversation and it might get them thinking - might.

If they DO interject and question your positions BE POLITE AND BE PREPARED!

For example: I have info on Bush's Texas Air National Gaurd (TANG) service that shatters all of the lefts lies.

Learn about Kerry's truly consistent record.
Consistent in opposing the US.
Siding with the Communist Vietcong in Vietnam (and Paris).
Siding with the Communist Sandinistas in Nicaragua.
Siding with the Communist USSR on the issue of SDI, on our nuclear weapons programs. (and come to think of it Vietnam too!)
Siding with the ALL of our enemies in his attempts to slash our Intelligence agencies.
And finally his siding with the Anti-War crowd in undermining the Commander in Chief at a Wartime!

Liberals CAN NOT WIN on their positions if you use facts and reason logically. Their positions are 99.9% emotional!

Stay Strong,
Fuzzy122

Hello !

I'm poor little innocent Muttly.

I'm not a human, but I sort-of kind-of played one on tv a while ago. Jim let me in anyway...well, when he found out that I'm a typing dog...he let me stay anyway, and run around the place, which is good, because I'm rarely let out of the back yard since the last mysterious "Birdbath Incident." I suspect the squirrels, but haven't proven it yet. Honest, "it was like that when I got there." Trust me.

Anyway, I may be a distant relative of your dog, having Captain Cook's bulldog and a native, marsupial bitch in my bloodline. Seems likely, considering.

So, welcome neighbor !
