Tonight's rally was our second this month!! Seemed like old times. :)
We went out tonight to remember 9-11-01, to show our support for our troops and to remind everyone that the Bush/Cheney ticket is the right choice. "Don't be Girly Men, Vote for Bush!," "Don't Commit Harey Kerry, Vote for Bush" and "Four More Years!" were a few of our chants.
We had a gathering of about 50 patriots tonight. Motorists were greeted with our chants, our signs and waving flags. In attendance tonight were several young people. We always enjoy being joined by young people, they bring so much energy and enthusiam to our corner.
FReepers in attendance tonight were:
Even though there was no opposition across the street, we had fun and made our voices heard as we listened to patriotic and country music. As usual, 90% or better of the response was positive but we did get a couple of thumb downs and one or two one finger salutes.
We started packing up about 7:00 and met at Baker's Square for dinner. Our dinner conversation seemed to stem around either tomorrow's picnic or CBS's 60 Minutes based on fake documents.
We are looking forward to the picnic and are hoping for a great turnout.
We thank all who participated and hope to see you all back next time.
Amy will post more pictures tomorrow. And I think Dr Zoo was also taking pictures. Hopefully the good Doctor will find a way to get his posted too.
Thank you, Syncro for coming down from Northern California and fxrdeb & hdrider from Modesto! There was also a couple up from Visialia, but I didn't get their names. Thanks for joining us! And the group from Caruthers. Best water I've ever tasted! Thank you all very much!!
WTG! I tried to get the night off but could'nt find a sub.
Hope to see you there:
Jim,
You forgot our other guest of honor. Duyba made a cameo appearance. Duyba did a great job encouraging the drivers to support the troops.
I may not get any pictures posted until after the picnic. I need to finish a couple of things; if I have time I will post a couple of pictures before I leave.
We had a wonderful time last night; we missed those of you who couldn't make it.
See you this afternoon.
HOO-RAH BUMP!
Thanks for the report.
We sure had a great time! I, too, enjoyed the young people so much - what a joy!! They were enthusiastic - even marching over to the other corner to encourage the motorists over there. What a great evening!! Thanks for the photos and the report.
Some good pictures there Amy. We were fortunate to have been joined by so many clean cut young men and ladies. A real honor to have them join us.
God bless ya Jim, Sheila, Amy, and the rest of those attending.
Thank you; I have some more. I hate to do an overkill but there were some wonderful young people at the rally and at the picnic.
I'll post more pics a little later. MamaBear is working on the picnic thread.
Thank you !!!
We hope you will be able to join us next time. The next rally will be October 1st. That should be before the foggy weather gets here.
Shhhhhhh! That's meant to be a secret, like the appalling summer heat.
;-)
LOL
I guess I should quit complaining about both then. *grin*
