Hello all,
I was just on Amazon.com and I noticed that ALL of the reviews for Unfit for Command are gone...I found it strange and I was wondering if anyone else noticed?
LCC
That seemed to happen a few weeks ago, actually. I was curious as to what the rating was.
Well, I terminated my account with Amazon in protest of their changing the playing field for _just this one book_. And I told them so.
If they have admitted the error of their ways, and have apologized for it, then I might be able to go back, at some point...
Weird, the reviews were there last week. Went into my local B&N tonight. They do have Unfit, but it is over on the shelf with the top 10 bestsellers. Right by the door is BC's My Life and next to it a whole table of mostly Bush bashing books. When I picked up my pre-ordered book two weeks ago, the clerk acted like it was the Holy Grail; not holy enough to put out with My Life, I guess, now that they have some (actually they only had 12, maybe there are more in the back).
My B&N has the same overtly slanted display right in front of the door. A collection of mostly Bush-bashing books all piled at the entrance gathering dust. This in a county that historically votes better than 65% Republican. I surmised that all the quality Pro-Bush books have been bought out and they have put the "bake sale" items where people can accidentally see them. Or.. B&N is not a stock I want to buy.
Well, well, well. Just went to Amazon and found ALL the book reviews are missing, at least for a few mysteries I was checking on, ones that have been out for years and should have lots of reviews posted. Software meltdown, most likely.
It's routine. They remove the reviews for quite a few books as they update their website. The reviews should be back up in a day or two, maybe in just a few hours.
