Walter Rogers did a story on Headline News about the Iraq situation. He mentioned the Islamofascists fighting our troops and included this phrase:
"The Americans call them terrorists."
'The Americans'? 'Call them terrorists'?
One man's terrorist...is a Democrat's Nobel Peace Prize
winner.
Can you say Yasser Arafat and Jimmy Carter?
Does he call them "boss?"
Change the language, change the perception. That's why the "terrorists" are always called "insurgents", "rebels", "militants", "guerillas", "armed gangs", etc., etc. Doublespeak 2004-style; Orwell would be proud.
This American asks: Where are you from? Are you not American? Why do you hate the USA? Who's side are you on?
Oh nevermind, I've already heard that from CNN.
Can we fire the MSM and try them all for treason?
Is every formerly MSM journalist a "Man Without A County?"
Reminds me of Eleanor Clift on the fast moving to the left McLaughlin Group tonight, saying that U.S. business people are so ashamed of America when they travel overseas that they tell people they are Canadians!!! (I don't believe it for a New York minute, unless they are Costco Executives, Ben & Jerry, or George Soros!)
Can we fire the MSM and try them all for treason?
Maybe we can't fire them, but we can damn sure vote them out of business.
Convince 2 friends that what they are seeing in the Old Media is nothing more than lies.
Then they will tell 2 friends, and they will tell 2 friends and so on and so on and so on :)
That old bastard doesn't speak as an american doncha know.
So very sad to have to hate your home country.
Looks like those folks just need to move out of the country. Then they would have the freedom of being PROUD of where they are from.
Such an utter shame to have to pay their taxes when they cannot control this country.
Fortunately it aired on CNN and thus no one outside of yourself and their other two viewers saw the thing ;-)
The good old "Iraq Situation", not to be confused with WOT.
There have been a couple occasions when I consciously avoided broadcasting my nationality, but that was due to discretion and a survival instinct and, if I recall correctly, involved mention of my Celtic heritage. I probably picked up the exact phrasing from Errol Flynn's (Australian - born and raised in Tasmania) stock line in every western he was ever in. A, usually drunk not unlike Flynn, cowboy would always ask him early on in the film "say, you talk funny, you ain't English are ya?" Flynn's standard reply was "actually I'm from Ireland, but I'm as American as you are!"
Many, maybe most, journalists, on the other hand, seem eager to disavow any alliegence to their country. And they wonder why they are viewed with the same level of respect as lawyers, whores, and politicians (but I repeat myself).
Just a confirmation... I heard the comment as well. I found it somewhat reassuring that at least they were acknowledging that SOMEBODY thinks these people may not be freedom fighters. Even that is progress at CNN.
The old school believed in American exceptionalism, but now their Commonist professors in leftist schools of journalism have indoctrinated them differently and we were forced to view their tripe when there were only the big three networks.
It is time for a revival of the righteous belief in American exceptionalism... A nation like no other on Earth in it's history!!!
99.9999% of the so called journalists, hate a strong America and work 24/7 to weaken America. In their mentally ill logic, they believe that by weakening America with their lies and spins, they are being great Americans.
It is past time to label their behavior as mentally ill and not patriotic.
