Make a list of every sponsor through the News Hour as during 60 Minutes show Sunday Eve. Then the MASSIVE BOYCOTT shall begin. Take no prisoners.

Is Dan Rather going to qualify himself as a typeface expert so that he can then ask questions of himself regarding the authenticity of the documents in question or is he going to have another expert on the air who will discuss the authenticity of the documents? I am giving odds that Dan will be the expert and not some legit third party.

If Freepers watched CBS, it would double their Nielsen ratings.
I wrote them an e-mail demanding that they fire Rather for blatent bias and incompetent fact checking.
To: RWR8189
I anticipate that he'll try to lie & obfuscate his way out of the journalistic mess his biases have created.

Rather had better re-think this. If he comes out trying to prove the documents are real it will be proven to be a cover-up and CBS will just dig a deeper hole. At some point you have to come clean and take your medicine. The medicine gets much worse with each flagrant defense of the indefensible.

I'm sure he will say "We stand behind our documents and our sources...blah blah blah" and then he will say that their sources are confidential and that "you just have to trust us on this one"

I hope whoever Rather and his crew are covering for can recompence them for their shattered dignity and destroyed integrity.
Imagine being forced to defend the authenticity of the Hitler Diaries or the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion.

Agreed. Someone needs to start a thread, or point me to the thread, that has listed all the advertisers on 60 minutes. Dan has more guts than brains if he is going to stand by these memos. He's more arrogant and stupid than I originally thought (and that's about as big of an insult as you are going to get!)
