Another question, being an army guy I may not know this, but why dont they put the building number on these since they were on a base? Does the AF not use building numbers?

I'm sure they do, but incoming mail would be addressed to a PO box. I am trying to find old military documents see exactly what the address headings looked like back in the early 70s.

Not back in 1970 or that time frame -- no building numbers, no streets addresses, etc. I put in a suggestion to number the buildings and use them for addresses and got it shot down so I know for a fact that they were never used.
