You can help put FR on a solid financial basis by signing up as monthly donor. Gosh, is it blasphemy to make the point that some of us happily without reservation pay for the services of FR without the monthly plan?
Please don't frustrate donors by making it appear that they aren't worthy by not making their donations a part of a payment plan kind sir.
Some are very generous with their appreciation for the services brought about by FR but prefer to help maintain this service by payment without dedicated schedule to do so.
Regards,

Great idea!!! I'm a monthly donor and proud of it!!! We need to keep the FreeRepublic coffers in good shape. I learn more from FreeRepublic than from all my magazine, newspaper and cable TV subscriptions combined! In fact, I have cancelled all of them except the local newspapers since I became an everyday, addicted to FreeRepublic kind of person. I'm actually saving money now - even with the monthly donation.

FR is the forum that uncovered and exposed the fake docs, I know, I was reading the thread in real time! You are so right, being a monthly donor is the way to go. Easy for you, and assures that this vital site for conservative activism can continue!

I prefer the term "CBSgate."

I went to the monthly plan over a year ago. Earlier this week I received my monthly notification that my credit card was going to be charged the monthly amount.
Two days later the Rathergate stuff broke ... and one of the first thoughts I had was about how fast this month's investment in Free Republic was generating dividends!
It's a great feeling to know I'm helping support something that is making a difference.

Please see my reply to John Robinson's kind reply to my inquiry regarding upgrading the hardware etc.
I believe we do need a special fundraising effort. If any are interested, perhaps you'll chime in to John and Jim.
Anyone willing and able to spearhead such an effort?
Anyone know wealthy folks in the hardware business? Or just wealthy enough to fund the whole thing themselves? I really believe it's important.
