Tom Harkin Must Go! (Vanity)
LRS

Posted on 09/10/2004 5:58:53 AM PDT by LRS

I have never done a vanity post before, but right now, my blood is boiling over these faked documents. While most people are concentrating on Dan Rather and 60 Minutes, and rightfully so, Senator Tom Harkin must be placed in the spotlight as well, after the statements he made yesterday, when he called President Bush a liar, based upon those fraudulent pieces of paper.

From:http://www.theiowachannel.com/politics/3719652/detail.html

-------------------------

Harkin said these records show that the president hasn't been honest.

"The documentation shows that the president was not being truthful," Harkin said. "The president lied to the American people in the Oval Office when he spoke with Tim Russert. That's why this is news. It goes to the character of George W. Bush."

-------------------------

No, I do not live in Iowa. But, I am an American, and this bomb throwing fool is a member of the U.S. Senate, making decisions that affect all of us. I ask the citizens of the fine state of Iowa, to please demand Tom Harkin's resignation. This man's judgement is obviously questionable, and in this time of war, we do not need such people in the U.S. Senate.

In April 1985, Kerry, along with Sen. Tom Harkin, ventured to Nicaragua to meet with President Daniel Ortega, a Marxist revolutionary who idolized Fidel Castro and received aid from the Soviet Union.

Kerry saw another Vietnam in the making because then-President Reagan was aiding freedom fighters in Nicaragua trying to overthrow Ortega's Sandinista regime.

"If you look back at the Gulf of Tonkin resolution," Kerry told the Washington Post on April 23, 1985, "if you look back at the troops that were in Cambodia, this history of the body count and the misinterpretation of the history of Vietnam itself, and look at how we are interpreting the struggle in Central America and examine the CIA involvement, the mining of the harbors, the effort to fund the contras, there is a direct and unavoidable parallel between these two periods of our history."

There are those among us who have attained the title of Senator-For-Life. Kennedy, Byrd, Schumer, and Lieberman come to mind. Hell, Lieberman lost an election, and he's STILL a Senator. If he loses, JF'nK will do the same.

Don't waste your breath, trying to call on The Sheep to do what's sensible. Sheep only hear their master's voice, and none of us are it.

I agree, we are all affected by the actions of senators' whom we cannot vote out of office.
What can we do about them? Shouldn't all senators be forced to adhere to a code of ethics? Didn't they do so in the past?

When did we start seeing such sickening partisan politics? I suggest it was during the Clinton impeachment hearings that it became so obvious. Thank you, slick Willie.

Bush has been called a liar, even though evidence showed differently. So along those lines, wouldn't everyone who went along with this story be 'liars' also. Sure seems like it.

Wasn't Harkin the one who falsely claimed he'd served in Vietnam when he was actually stationed in Japan?

It's one thing when some clown like a Michael Moore, or a James Carville calls the President a liar. It's something else when a sitting member of the United States Senate, based upon some unverified news report, jumps up almost immediately and tosses words like this around. This man has done this nation harm with his recklessness...

As this gets airplay and the fruad is revealed by a portion of the MSM, I believe we'll see some GOP Senators step up to the plate and demand Harkin apologize to the President.

Look for this in next week's news cycle.

Harkin is being questioned by FoxNews right now. He's not backing down and is still spreading the lies.

Holy cow! The bozo is citing the documents as proving that Bush didn't do his duty! John Scott asked "if these are forgeries, how can they lend credence to that claim?" Harkin just continues to spew his lies based on the forged docs.

Harkin is being interviewed on FOX right now and repeating all the trash he said yesterday about GWB. He says we don't know the documents are fake so they back up all the old claims that GWB did not fulfill his NG duties. He just called Bush a liar. Harkin is the liar.
