Nader Says Kerry Will Lose, Bring the Democrats Down
Los Angeles Times ^ | September 10, 2004 | Kathleen Hennessey

Sen. John F. Kerry is going to lose the presidential election and bring Democratic congressional candidates down with him, independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader said Thursday.

The Democrats, he said, have "lost the clarity of being an alternative to Bush and Cheney. This is the most vulnerable administration in many years. They're not laying a glove on them."

Nader, who won 2.7% of the popular vote in 2000, said that Kerry and his running mate, North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, had hired too many campaign consultants, focused too heavily on ads and too little on grass-roots organization, and were neglecting core Democratic issues and constituencies.

"The Democrats do not win when they do not have Jesse Jackson and African Americans in the core of the campaign," Nader said.

At a recent meeting in Chicago, Nader said, Jackson expressed concern that African Americans were not the target of voter registration drives.

"That's a telltale sign that they're headed for defeat," Nader said at a breakfast for reporters sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor.

Nader and his running mate, Green Party stalwart Peter Camejo, will be on the ballot in 22 states and the District of Columbia. But Democrats have mounted an aggressive effort to keep them off the ballot.

Interesting thought. A lot of very left leaning Democrats may figure Kerry is a goner and cast their vote for Nader, thus really making for a lopsided election.

The democrats are going to lose because they nominated a bone-head left wing loser. The extremists dragged the party further to the left than they have ever gone since Eugene McCarthy. As long as commie-symps and their running dogs are in charge, the party will go down the toilet. Witness the example of Zell Miller, a democrat his entire life. The party has been captured by the loony-left and there's no end in sight.

Big Media says Lurch's a 'Good Closer'. After W. cleans his clock, they'll have to drop the 'c' in closer'. ;-)

Now there's a slogan:

Kerry, a good cLOSER!

Kerry is a bad candidate. The only reason he ever seemed a plausible choice to people is the old media ran interference for him.

The only Democrat to win in recent times was Clinton, who's "gift" for lying deceived people into believing he was something he wasn't. And only because Perot was in the mix.

It almost sounds like Nader will vote for Bush. Wouldn't that be something.

Actually, you might be right. I suspect the ultra left-wing of the Democrat Party will either not vote for John Kerry and stay home on election day or vote for Ralph Nader. Kerry is toast to say the least. Kerry/Edwards is an absolute waste!!! They and the Democrat Party are going down big time!!!

Not to mention Bush Sr. ran an anemic campaign--I was only like 12 at the time and I could see what an amateur hour operation it was. Fortunately, G.W. doesn't have a 3rd party threat dogging him, he's got 1st-rate people around him plus he's a much better campaigner than his father, and he has an opponent that is the Anti-Clinton.

Kerry endorses Bush 50% of the time on the stump. That's progress in my book.

Sometimes it seems like the Dems have a death wish in this election. I keep running into the lemming-like "Bush Lied" guys everywhere. They seem to relish the idea of Kerry losing so they can try to take down Bush in a Nixon/Watergate type coup rather than at the ballotbox. I also imagine them relishing the idea of puttering around town repeating "Bush Lied" for an additional four years. My idea of the perfect 527 ad campaign is commercials of the "Kerry Lied" youth of America irritating common everyday folks at the supermarket, train station, workplace etc. carrying their i-pods and handing out "Bush Lied" leaflets. When someone asks them a question they would fall to pieces, mute as they would be incapable of putting together a reasoned statement. The "Bush Lied" guys are quickly toppling Hare Krishnas, Infomercial Hosts and Penis Enlargement Pill Salesmen as the kings of stereotypical irritants to the common folk.

The only reason the MSM trumped Kerry up is because of Vietnam. The Lying Left for once has a "war hero" to call their own, running for President in these modern times.

Howard Dean was dangerous to the left. It would reveal to many, just how dangerous the left really is, because Howard Dean tells it like it is. He's a Liberal and he's damned proud of that fact. Kerry is actually refuting some of the stands he took a year ago, and sometimes he refutes himself daily. Kerry is the most nuanced and dryball presidential candidate since Algore.

The Rev. Al Sharp-ton is not going to like this broadside.
