That was no woman you spoke with. That was Dan Rather, screeching in a high-pitched, yellow-belly voice. Then he exploded.

Now some of you freepers may get mad at this, but this young guy answered the foreign desk and I told him "before you shunt me offf, I not calling to complain about the forgeries, I'm calling because this woman at your national desk just yelled at me and said "bush got what he deserved." He said the f word and said he would take care of it, he came back to me a few minutes later and said, did you record it? So funny because that's what someone here just asked...I did not but I told him I did and would send it to the NY Post, he seemed even more agitated...let's keep them guessing!
I feel bad about decieving her (I will go to confession on sunday) but I bet you that she is going to sweat it out tonight, wondering if she'll make the post tomm......but I do feel somewhat bad about lying to him.
There have been many cases of freeper's insights finding their way to national media attention. Many powerful people either lurk here or post here under their pseudonym (some are not shy about it either). A golden nugget post at FR is seen by the MSM all the time. Occasionally, the post draws blood (or in this case goes nuclear). The sharp ones know and respect Freerepublic, though they'll not yet admit it.

I can't believe I missed this today...got busy and didn't watch news all day. I finally log on and see THIS! HA HA HA HA HA!!!! I want to rub my hands together and cackle like a witch. Kerry is toast!
CBS deserves to be humiliated over this and Dan Rather deserves to be fired. That's what's deserved.
I wonder if I called back and got her if she would repeat her "bush got what he deserved" line....dangit I should have recorded it.............
Ask whether it's just Dan Rather or all of CBS that's a subsidiary of the DNC/Kerry campaign.
