Something tells me since ABC knows the documents are faked, they feel as if they might as well try to salvage something out of it and try and damage their competition.
I don't really think that's true. BUT, they would murder their mothers if the democratic party was in peril, IMHO.
BTW, CBS was also the plant for that odd and still uncertain Pentagon spy story.
ABC still claims that Kerry's Vietnam accounts are true...and that he was effectively smeared! They're all loons that are dangerous to America and revel in 1,000 more Americans dying thanks to nut job Muhammadans...after we lost 3,000 here, 100 there, a few over there, etc.
I think criminal and civil charges should be brought up against Dan Rather and CBS. A showcase trial should follow. Its time that someone be responsible for their own insane bias.

I used to watch Nightline many moons ago. Got hooked during the Iranaian hostage situation.
One night after another show of lefty propaganda I actually spoke to one of the producers. After a heated discussion we decided it was bets for all concerned if I didn't watch Nightline any more. :-}
ABC is relishing this. The network newscasts are liberal to be sure, but they're still competitive with each other when it comes to ratings. Regardless of how you feel about him, it's sad to see Dan Rather's career end like this. Uh, on second thought, not really.
