There is absolutely no doubt that the document shown is a fake. It was created using a modern PROPORTIONAL SPACED font which, to my information, did not exist at that time on ANY typewriter.

In addition, I can recall NO typewriter that had superscript capability.

This is criminal and those perpetuating this info should be sued for libel which can be done because it is WITH MALICIOUS INTENT AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE FALSETY OF THE ALLEGATIONS.

My dad served in the Air Force Reserve and we still have his papers.

I don't ever recall seeing a letter w/o an Air Force letterhead and I never have seen a unit with a PO Box as its address.

At the very minimum, this looks suspicious to me.

Is that an accurate P.O. Box: 34567? Does the Zip Code match the post office site where Box 34567 would have been located in 1972 or 1973? Inquiring minds want to know.

This may be a good place to add doubt to the docs. The following is a listing of addresses regrading Bush found at Myths and Truths Resources

Note that the memo above refers to an address at 5000 Longmont but according to payroll records, Bush lived 2910 Westheimer Rd Apt 4. If they knew where to send his check, why didn't they know where he lived ?

The current zip code for Houston PO boxes starts with 732, not 730 - The first two digits of the box number are the last two digits of the zip code, so the current-day ZIP+4 for PO Box 34567 is 73234-4567.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone can dig up historical Post Office zip code assignment records to compare.

Another interesting point is that the current ZIP+4 code for 5000 Longmont, Houston, is 77056-2419, not 77027.
