Al Gore's life basically stopped on December 12, 2000. He nearly destroyed the country in the 5 weeks prior to that so there is little sympathy for his lost-in-time anger.

Republicans should not talk about Vietnam -- it's old news
Republicans should not talk about the War on Terrorism -- that would politicize it
Republicans should not talk about Kerry's senate career -- that's below the belt
Republicans should not talk about Kerry's past quotes on Terrorism as something for courts to handle
In addition, showing up in Florida is bad, because it politicizes the hurricanes
Lastly, no 527s should create ads hurtful to John Kerry, as that would prove beyond a doubt that there was improper collusion (at the highest levels) between Bush and the offending organization.

Vice President Dick Cheney's remark that ``the wrong choice'' by voters could result in another terrorist attack was ``a sleazy and despicable effort to blackmail voters with fear,'' Al Gore said Thursday. So long as Democrats continue to live in their fantasy September 10th world, they will put us at additional risk of terrorist attack. Dick Cheney is right on the mark.
Even John Kerry acts like it's September 10th, 2001. The stupid bastard goes on about how he'll defend America if we're ever attacked. HELL-OOOOO!! We've already been attacked! It was on September 11th, 2001! And the last thing we need is a President who'll be "stunned" for 40 minutes (as was the case with the idiot Kerry).

Cheney's remarks really were brilliant.
* It reminded people that Kerry is weak (on terror & period)
* It keeps terrorism the subject of conversation, rather than something gay like health care
* Every Democrat response just reminds people that Kerry is weak
* It got Al Gore to come out of his hole and drag down Kerry even more

And this differs from the Dem tactics of terrifying old people into believing they'll have no social security/Medicare/be forced into eating cat food, telling women that they'll be "forced" into completing their pregancies, telling kids they'll have no education, telling blacks they'll "be returned to slavery" exactly *how*?
Perhaps the Dums are just annoyed that somebody else is using their election "playbook".
