The problem is the reporters have not been associated with the military and have no idea how it works. This is ludicrous at best. Not going to fly, you don't take a flight physical. In those days, flight surgeons were in short supply to do these physicals. Not just any doctor could give a flight physical -- it had to be a flight surgeon.

yawn... I'm falling asleep waiting for Kerry to release his military medical records so he can put to rest once and for all the questions regarding the validity of his three Purple Hearts. If these records back him up he would release them. If they would condemn him as a fraud he'd keep them a secret. Kerry, through his fear of releasing these records, admits he's a total fraud.

Yes it is the best they got - well, until the old hag gossipmonger lying beyatch Kitty takes her turn calling W a druggie, adulterer, homo, pedophile. I wouldn't sweat it too bad, the MSM has been pulling this turdpile all year and they still are set to lose the election. Their candidate is a cadaver. 60 minutes has little influence, they've been running hit pieces all year with no effect.

What amazes me is that over at DU, these smears are met with rather blase appraisal. In fact, one post described the mood at DU as lacking fighting spirit. I can understand why: the average post at Du is frothily ignorant, lacking substance, and a little bad news (Ohio and Arizona likely voter poll, for example) really can crush the mood.

What partisan CBS discovered is already tainted information, was my take, and the DU reaction validates that estimation.

"The problem is the reporters have not been associated with the military and have no idea how it works."

Don't be so naive. These "reporters" could care less how the military works. All they're interested in is misleading the public into thinking that Bush shirked his military duty.

If tactics like this don't energize and piss off the Republican base to get out and vote then we deserve a President Kerry. I'm so damn mad I might vote a couple times!!

They report this as if receiving three PH's for what amounted to bandaid wounds and getting out of Vietnam after only FOUR MONTHS, going to work for an admiral near his home town and then getting dismissed from about TWO YEARS worth of reserve training WASN'T special treatment!

This is the impact of Carville and Sasso who are now on the Kerry team. Seems too well orchestrated to me. Doubt it will have much long term impact since it has been trashed around so many times.

Bush just needs to keep talking about what he is going to do to protect America and rebuild our economy. Thats what people are looking for. Kerry and company are so stupid to keep dwelling on this. I think Bush sealed it last week at the convention. He gave many more americans a good reason to vote for him. So far, Kerry is not giving any reason why he should be CIC. THe polls will ebb and flow. They will tighten. But in reality, Kerry will never get the lead back. Post 9-11 turnout is an unknown to pollsters and politicians. I expect the Bush voters will turn out in record numbers. Bush wins big. Keep the faith, and let the MSM and Kerry keep fighting yesterdays wars.

Geeeeesh. Here we go again. Why even post this crap? Mara Liasson (no conservative, she) said today on "Special Report" with Brit Hume on Fox that this is a dead issue. It's 5 years too late. They didn't make it stick in 2000 and it is non-issue this year. People have seen this man in action for almost four years now. Who cares whether or not he missed a National Guard meeting?

Give it a rest!!!

I'd like to suggest (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) there is an embedded reporter from Pravda working @ the NYTimes.

There's no been no need to embed foreign anti-American propagandists at the NY Times. There has been a long history of willing domestic sychophants.

Kerry/Nixon/Cambodia - Bush/ Barnes - HA!

Trouble is, George W. Bush began the first of six years’ service in the National Guard in 1968, but Barnes did not become Lt. Governor of Texas until 1969. Barnes has acknowledged that no member of the Bush family sought his help, but claims he was approached by a Bush family friend (who died three years before Barnes began telling his self-serving story).

Bush's NG record is dragged out during every Bush campaign. And he always wins the elections.

When are these nit-pickers going to realize NOBODY CARES?

It means he , if he actually wrote them, didn't see fit to send the memos to anyone else. So why write them in the first place?

Only a Democrat would so lack a sense of honor or integrity to try to sell a story to say that his under oath testimony was a lie, and his current, unsworn testimony is now true!

These people are without a conscience, without scruples, without a vestige of honesty.

The Old Media is trying to suggest Bush used his connections like Kerry did. Let's assume for the sake of argument its true. What's the difference in the aftermath? Bush didn't libel and slander an entire generation of Vets for his personal political gain. But don't count on the media pointing it out.
