Assault doesn't require touching. Battery does. This is both.

Yes, it is both. I'd shoot for attempted murder even, judging by the way he grabbed for the neck like that. His middle finger appears to be approaching the caroted artery.

***"Bullies with an attitude of a street gang knowing his union brothers will take his slack." The link in #227 says the guy was a teamster that got an invite through his local in KY.***

Sorry Spunkets, I am missing your point. Please advise? He was taken out by a union bully who had other yellow shirts in the crowd nearby.

Sent them an email they would rather not read.

"Seeing the protestor tackled and beaten by your union thugs when he dared to speak against the toady Kerry demonstrates the underlying brutality of unions today.

The agressive and chilling antics of your union members do not belong in America. Our forefathers came to America to escape the despotic operatives of their native lands.

Unions like yours should be challenged to reform or disappear!

Brownshirt fascists like the ones in your membership will not be tolerated."

Good point.
In my case, the family members who went to Federal Pen for their BA were not the thug types, excellent craftsmen with families, but they got their orders on what to do with the Grand Jury. Bad choice on their part but in their minds, what choice did they have? Sad.

Yeah, and it looks like a definite neck injury caused by that anti-free speech Kerryite. I'd sue the bastard! Give em a taste of their 'own medicine'.

I wonder what the union thug would have done if it had been a woman heckling. Same thing, probably.

Inhibiting someone elses political free speach rights is not covered under the civil rights act? hmmm

Not unless the person doing the inhibiting is acting under "color of law."

The battery victim was a union member from KY that had been invited by virtue of his membership in the KY local. The union spiel says they are all bros and are supposed to honor others in their brotherhood. That's in addition to supposedly being upstanding, law abiding citizens.

That's bogus of course, since thug enforcers like the attacker in this incident are simply acting to harass, intimidate and otherwise force folks to go along with the programs and interests of the union bosses. I doubt very much that these guys were simple members of the local, since they were sitting with a former mayor and US Congressman from Cincinnati.

I still say there's a lot of $$$$ in this for Mr. Russel if he can choose one from among the 10 million ambulance-chasers supporting Kerry.

After the Kerry-Edwards ticket goes down in flames in November, I'm sure that Edwards would be more than happy to go after the Heinz-Kerry deep-pockets.

3. Sue the Kerry campaign for not providing adequate security

The sheet metal union guy WAS security. The Kerry Edwards campaign uses union guys as perimeter security at their events. There are only a few Secret Service agents and they are only there to protect the candidates.

Security at Kerry/Edwards events is a joke, unlike security at presidential events.

Ooops... Didn't mean to double-post, sorry.

It's okay to double-post on this one since there seems to be double Mike Russells. <8^)

Gary L. Stevens
Eleventh General Vice President

I wonder why they stopped at eleven? Twelve would be an even dozen. I also wonder if there are eleven more "Specific Vice Presidents"?

;-)
