Kerry speech A heckler, shouting at John Kerry about Vietnam war atrocities, was manhandled by sheetmetal workers sitting nearby and escorted from the building. (Photo by Michael E. Keating/The Enquirer)
From Post 143 above - apparently Mr. Russell denies that he is the man in question:
Mike Russell with Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, when contacted Wednesday at his office in Alexandria, Va., said he was not at the speech in Cincinnati.
"It's an obvious ploy by the Kerry campaign not only to discredit this organization but to steal my identity," Russell said.

hopefully, the man doesn't have long term damage .. necks ARE very delicate ... but politically, once again, a "friend" of the JFn campaign has taken away from his airtime/speech with coverage of the assault. What do they say about "friends like these..." ????
Unfortunately if you do that you also hurt a lot of rank and file Republican workers....that's right...my ex-husband (a teamster) and lots of his friends are Republicans who unfortunately have no say in what the national union does and says.
I tend to agree with you. He looks undercover. And that's not a casual hold or grab.
From the political rallies I've gone to, I can tell ya that besides all the uniform cops & snipers, there are a number of undercover cops in the audience. I wouldn't have noticed them--but then I realized that two of the guys just trying to blend to the crowd in were neighborhood cops from my old neighborhood. One was carrying a backpack with some serious metal inside.
Hope he presses charges of Assault! Pictures will help.
Thank you for the quote. I see I misinformed the forum.
Kerry spoke of the dreaded "Bush TEAM", not, as I misstated, the lowly "Bush people".
And as you say, having an opinion contrary to Kerry makes you part of this "Bush team" and part of a "tactic" of the omnipresent Bush campaign.
("It cannot be that hard to find this guy and his buddies to press charges. Only authorized security, secret service agents, or police would be protected from paying dearly for this. Sue 'em all.")
I agree totally. When there were hecklers at the RNC for instance, you didn't see a bunch of hate filled Vampires trying to rip someone's Jugular out of the side of their neck for heavens sake. Of course thats talking-down about Vampires which I probably shouldn't do, but you get the idea... 8-)
Obviously, it was wrong. And I'm glad none of the delegates attacked those morons.
Sounds like he rebuked the Heckler, and hence supported the Goon! Why would he do other, that would represent ethics, character and leadership.
Looks like those thugs really enjoy their job!
Agreed and a dirty one at that . Still it's time for a lawsuit & if it gets bounced out of court hold a press conference on the court house steps denouncing the facist judge who thinks that free speech is only the right of politicians & union brownshirts.
He's not. The hold in the picture happens to be "banned". That particular grab and hold happens to be deadly force. It is intended to knock someone out quickly, or kill them. The thug's presentation was not at all that of a trained cop either. He's a union thug.
Well put. I hope the RNC/Bush-Cheney campaign puts together a montage of Kerry demanding silence from media, publishers, individuals and even reporters who were ordered back inside.
Imagine the outrage had this order come from the Bush people?
All depends what position I'm in and where my leverage is.
THat's correct. It amounts to felony battery.
Said by the same fascist prick who's trying to get the SwiftBoats off the air.
