President Bush fell well short of meeting his military obligation in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War, the BOSTON GLOBE is planning to front on Wednesday, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE.

If a reservist with a drilling obligation has trouble showing up when required, the military is quite prepared to help him show up on time. They cut and send orders to report to active duty for a period of say 6 months to 1 year.
Bush needs to stress that Kerry has to go back to 4 months 35 years ago to try to find a qualification for POTUS.
He hasn't done anything since. He's trying to run as the washington outsider with a military record and Rove et al need to call him out on his pathetic and underachieving insider status pronto.
Assuming that this is all true, the press is trying to do to W what the SBVs did to Kerry. In other words, they would NOT investigate Kerry's record, but they will beat the W dead horse, once again.
Ah, a penis with ears and the forehead make their presence felt in Kerry's staff shake up.
Bush team should quitely ask for the same scrunity be applied to the skerry one, in short, complete disclosure.
I saw a Retired Alabama AFNG Lt. Colonel on Fox stating he does remember Bush being at monthly weekend training several times, and when he was absent he had permission. He said it was not unusual for records to be lost, misplaced or misleading.
He also said that Bush's commander in Texas was absolutely right. His commander could not have have seen or rated Bush, for Bush was TDY to the Alabama ANG.
The Colonel also said that several other Officers had come forward stating they had seen Bush at the weekend training meetings. It was odd though, that when he contacted the Bush people they told him they were not concerned for the charges being leveled were baseless and would go no where.
I would now suggest team Bush look up said Colonel and the other officers for their counter to the leftist Globe and other old media minions of the dems.
Afraid you're correct... truth be damned. Looks like the msm becomes more and more like the propaganda tool of the liberals. YIKE!!!
Yeah...and it's interesting how the media dismisses the Swifties as liars because Kerry's "official" record isn't consistent with the SBVT's accounts. Yet, when it comes to GWB, the official record isn't good enough for the media. This is just incredible when you consider that unlike Bush who has nothing but praise for Kerry's service, it was Kerry, himself, who actually questioned this official record.
When asked about the issue on Feb. 8, 2004 (from WSJ), Kerry stated:
"The issue here, as I have heard it raised, is was he (Bush) present and active duty in Alabama at the time he was suppose to be...Just because you get an honorable discharge does not, in fact, answer that question."
Oh, you're so right. They went full bore anti Swift Boats Vets for Truth --never giving them time on "60 Minutes" -- and they will go full bore "Bush didn't complete his requirements to the NG."
This is so predictable.
I don't know if these jerks understand just how much they tick off anyone who has ever served honorably in the armed forces. There are MILLIONS of us out here. I suppose that the Globe is fighting a rear-guard action trying to save Massachusetts for Kerry. That and DC will be an impressive election rack-up.
Also 336 hours in a supersonic aircraft is quality time. His commitment was not the usual six month tour and the weekend a month. He served a full time tour as an inteceptor pilot.
"The newly released records show Bush, a lieutenant in the Texas Air National Guard, ranked No. 22 in a class of 53 pilots when he finished his flight training at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia in 1969"
I seem to remember reading John McCain was dead last in his class and if it had not been for his high ranking admiral father he would have never graduated at all after having crashed a jet due to pilot error during training.
Also seem to remember McCain had an accident with his aircraft on a carrier that resulted in the death and injury of several crewmen and severe damage to the carrier.
I don't seem to remember the old media being interested in such stories during McCain's now defunct run for prez?
But did he betray our soldiers in Vietnam?
Keep the Vietnam story going, baby.
Thanks for posting that link, in fact here is the most important paragraph in the article:
In conclusion, there is no evidence Bush got special treatment to join the Guard. He did NOT miss any meetings, he was not assigned to the Alabama Guard. The reason the so called "objective" media holds on to this myth is that it lets them keep asking, where was Bush? The issue of his being grounded is also answered because he would no longer be flying since his plane was obsolete and he did not have enough Guard time left to train in a new jet. You dont need to report for a physical if you are not flying. Duh!
MY COMMENT:
I AM FORMER USNR, and this is perfect explanation of how the media is using normal military procedure to confuse non-military types who don't understand "how" the RESERVES works.
My thoughts exactly. Not to mention the Kerry records story.
"
However, with everything that is coming out now and over the next few days, more National Guard BS, Kitty Kelly and her pile of sh**, a media orgy over "1,000+ dead in Iraq" and whatever else the Rats are thinking up, I'm becoming concerned that it will be just enough to throw the election to Kerry. It might not cause people to vote for Kerry instead of Bush but it could easily cause enough idiots to stay home on election day. It almost worked once, the 2000 DUI story, and sadly there are enough social conservatives who will probably fall for it again.
