GRAHAM LOSES NOTEBOOK
Confused On Iraq And WMD
___________________________________________________________________________________________
The most hyperbolic and unhelpful statement so far, some Democrats said, was the suggestion Monday by Sen. Bob Graham (Fla.), also a presidential candidate, that if Bush misled the American people, it might rise to the standard of an impeachable offense. (Jim VanderHei and Helen Dewar, Democrats Sharpen Attack On Bush Over Iraq, The Washington Post, 7/16/03)
THE MISSING ENTRIES
July 14, 2003: Suggested Potential Need For Impeachment Proceedings Against President Bush. Graham was asked if he would support impeachment if Democrats were in control of the House, which brings impeachment charges for the Senate to try. He answered with [a] question of his own: If the standard of impeachment that the Republicans set for Bill Clinton - a personal, consensual relationship was the basis for impeachment, would not a president who knowingly deceived the American people about something as important as whether to go to war meet the standard of impeachment?(Ken Thomas, Grahams Criticism Of Bush Misses The Count, The Associated Press, 7/14/03)
ü June 23, 2002: Called WMD Threat And Merger With Terror Groups Ultimate Nightmare Scenario. What were concerned about with Iraq is its intention and capabilities to develop weapons of mass destruction, and the merger of that capability with terrorist groups, that is the ultimate nightmare scenario
(Fox News Sunday, 6/23/02) July 18, 2003: Reiterated Position On Impeachment.
ü December 8, 2002: Had Seen Enough Evidence To Advance Iraqs Capability Of WMD. We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has and has had for a number of years a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction. ... I think we have compelling evidence, both from technical sources and from human sources.
I have seen enough evidence. I dont know if Ive seen all the evidence, but Ive seen enough to be satisfied that there has been a continuing effort by Saddam Hussein since the end of the Gulf War, particularly since 1998, to s--re-establish and enhance Iraqs capacity of weapons of mass destruction, chemical, biological and nuclear. (Sen. Bob Graham On CBS Face The Nation, 12/8/02)
Agreed. I wonder if this nut brain was just laying the ground work for the 'Rat "If Bush wins" plan.
Some weird folks in the party, to be sure.

I agree! Graham is a washed up, sniveling has-been. I am proud to say I NEVER voted for him and will be happy when we've seen the last of him. When he leaves, I hope he takes Betty Castor with him.
Bob Graham needs to be impeached from a society of the sane.
During the Dimwitcrat primary debates Graham was about as embarrassing as Sharptongue and Deaniac. How this clown made it to the senate I'll nver know. Anyhow, it's time to elect Mel Martinez who is a Cuban American and an ace in the hole on the Florida ballot. If there still is a Florida after Ivan the terrible and company,.
Graham was just on Hannity & Colmes. Hannity read off a bunch of quotes on Iraq, and asked Graham if based on those quotes, the President had misled the American people. When Graham said "yes," Hannity advised Graham that those hadn't been quotes of President Bush's at all, but were actually John Kerry's, so had John Kerry misled the American people? Graham sputtered and spouted, and tapped danced around the question, never really answering it. It was bee-you-tee-ful!!!
