Why shouldn't they? It's not some secret that should be tucked away. Good men and women died; to pretend otherwise is almost an insult to their memories (I'm not implying that you are wanting to ignore their deaths, just others seem like they don't want to hear or know about it).

The sad thing is, outside of hitting these grim "milestones", the media and many Americans don't care that people are dying over there everyday, both because of short attention spans and because they consider who is winning what reality show or what celebrity is sleeping with what celebrity to be more important.

One death statistic that did shock me, the number of Iraqi police who have been killed over the last year or so - around 700. If that doesn't show the nature of our enemies, I don't know what will. They are killing the very people who would help protect their future democracy.

They already have, along with every other news outlet in the country and around the world. Why hell, even Don Rumsfeld has spoken about it today in a briefing.

I don't see it on the front page of CNN, but i have posted picks of a couple of other outlets that has it on their front page.

At the present Fox News has it buried down in the middle of another story.
