Exactly.....he sends out surrogates to call the Swiftees liars but doesn't refute their charges with any facts. It worked for Clinton but Slick wasn't trying to get elected like Kerry.
As someone has pointed out, the debates present a real danger from Kerry. Any self-respecting moderator, even a liberal one, would have to ask the Cambodia question. I can't wait to see what Kerry would say.
I'm sure the question would be balanced by one to Bush about his National Guard record, but even so, there is a difference between being a less-than-stellar weekend warrior and flat out lying about what you claim was the seminal event of your life that was 'seared, seared' in your memory.
