KUWAIT CITY, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Iraqi Human Rights Minister Bakhtiar Amin Monday said 262 mass graves have been found in Iraq containing remains of people killed by the ousted Baath regime.
Speaking upon his arrival in Kuwait to attend a meeting of countries with missing people in Iraq, Amin said Iraq's security situation prevented the government from searching for more mass graves and identifying the bodies.
"We are working on uncovering all the crimes of the former Iraqi regime including mass graves, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed inside and outside Iraq," Amin said.
He said the information would help convict ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his senior aides who will stand trial by a special Iraqi court.
He said the victims of Saddam's regime exceeded 1 million, but there was no accurate estimate.
Why isn't this on the front page at cnn.com?
Oh, that's right. The corporate-owned, conservative-run media strike again.
Let me clear up your confusion. If we hadn't gone to war in Iraq, the mass graves would never have been discovered. If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there, is there a sound? John Kerry sez, "no, no problemo."
There is some TV or Movie that was/is being made about this subject. Is it out yet? It may have been mentioned here on this site.
Here it is, I think
Rosebiani's "Saddam's Mass Graves" vs Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11"

Remember the Dems think we shouldn't have taken out Saddam
How I wish Dubya had given his Dad credit for the emancipation of Kuwait during the first gulf war.
"I wonder if that fat piece of sh[]t michael moore..."
...but you mean that in a good way, right?
Also remember that the troops will be home by Christmas. Just never said which decade.
(sarcasm on)
This is only 262 mass graves with over a million dead, had this been 300 with 1.25 million known dead, the anti-war crowd would finally catch on to how bad Iraq was.
(sarcasm off)
OK, a million dead (at least) divided by the 30 or so years that Hussein was in power equals 33,333 per year. Add to that the numbers of military dead due to Gulf War One, and whatever other stuff he did over there. So what is the average annual numbers of dead due to Saddam, and would it be too much trouble for someone to compare that with the one-time numbers currently occurring as a result of the current war in Iraq? Aren't we looking at something like 40,000-50,000 per year on average during Saddam's reign?
Isolated cases. We were mislead when we were told there were STOCKPILES of mass graves.
Anyone know if this article is referring to 262 dead people or 262 sites where dead people are buried?
I'm about to snap with the liberal media. It wasn't the "ousted Baath regime", it was Saddam Saddam Saddam Saddam Saddam Saddam Saddam you tards.
Good point. War on Muhammadans bad, war on Christians good...so says a stupid RAT.
The Balkans War will be looked back at as the last chance to beat back the Muhammadan slave-owning, drug-running terrorists in Europe...and Bill the Impeached, Traitorous, Lying, Rapist ex-POTUS Clinton (he's resting comfortably and won't die) tried to do it to Israel to with his 3rd Way Communist buddy Barak in favor of THE Muhammadan Terrorist WITH BLOOD ALL OVER HIS HANDS, Yessir Heisfat of the PLA.
Not too far from the truth. The leftwing intelligentsia believe that truth is "socially constructed," which means that the truth is whatever we say it is. Hence, everything is political, because there is no pre-political reality. Clinton's adolescent reply, "It depends on what the meaning of 'is' is," is a distant ripple of this attitude towards truth. (Clinton's too dumb to understand where it comes from.)
Kerry's chant today was what does W stand for. Mine is what does a Democrat stand for? Not much of anything, but themselves.
Thanks, I'm noting this in the liberating Iraq blog:

As Kerry would say, Who cares? Let the eat cake
Or, as he might also say, "Oh never mind about that, who's up for some windsurfing?"
I thought they found about 1500 or so, but not the 150,000 Bill Clinton claimed we would find.
Funny .. the media never held him accountable for NOT FINDING THAT AMOUNT OF BODIES, and for the fact that he probably LIED about it in order to justify his actions.
But .. the media's not biased or anything like that .. NOOOOOO!
