PARIS, Sept 6 (Reuters) - France has expressed solidarity with Russia but wants all "necessary information" about Moscow's handling of the Beslan school seizure, French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin said on Monday.
In comments similar to remarks by the European Union's Dutch presidency which triggered a diplomatic row with Moscow at the weekend, Raffarin said France constantly reminded Russia of the need to respect human rights.
Responding to a call from Socialist party leader Francois Hollande for French authorities to demand an "explanation" from Moscow, Raffarin said in a live debate on RTL radio: "We have already done so."

Sic'em Vlad...
Unbelievable. And whose "human rights" do the French care about? Most likely, the terrorists'. I would tell the pusillanimous girliemen French to piss off.
One would think France is coming from a position of moral superiority.
Just ask the Dutch minister....
WTF? Where do they come off? The implication here is the Russians are somehow at fault when the better part of 1000 of their innocent citizens are massacred.
Remember, these are the people the Democrats are worrying that we've alienated.
Hey Froggies, keep up the appeasement. You'll get one of these in your back yard too, then you will have all information about this phenomenon really up close and personal.
Really, Putin should say "butt out" in the rudest Russian possible to the critics in any country whose people weren't themselves injured or killed in this ghastly terrorist attack.
France needs to mind its own business. They never cared about terrorism before. Is France concerned about the new alliance between Russia & Israel?
Give'em the big ole' finger!!!, Putin!!!
France should offer Russia 1000 pounds of their most fragrant cheese to drop on Chechnya. That should clear them out but good.
In order to respect human rights, one must first be dealing with humans. There's no evidence that the barbaric terrorists in that school even approach a level of humanity deserving of rights.
Shove it, France.
France and Holland wouhldn't recognize terrorist thuggery and wrong doing if it bit them in their you know whats, much less condemn or fight back against it.
These politicians are sickening.
I simply do not understand what business this is of the French, or why they believe they are the final word in morality, world politics, and international affairs. The frogs need an attitude adjustment, the quicker the better.
You know, I kind of doubt that France has remotely in mind things like spotty oppressions of Christians, which unfortunately still happens in the otherwise great land of Russia. No, they are so afraid of anyone making the Mooselimb monster angry.
It'll happen in their back yard sooner or later. I don't see how the terrs can possibly resist the temptation.
LOL but surely one must assume one is wrong.
