Is it just me, or is USAF Gen. Merrill McPeak's TV ad in support of Kerry incredibly stupid?
I have seen the ad several times, and I just shake my head every time I see it.
Gen. McPeak states that his reason for supporting Kerry is,,,,and I quote,,,,,,,,,,"He has a strategy"!
He has a strategy?
HE HAS A STRATEGY????
SAY WHAT?
Who in the heck doesn't? How about telling us what that strategy is!
Howard Dean has a strategy.
Al Sharpton has a strategy.
Dennis Kucinich has a strategy.
Bill Maher has a strategy.
Rosie O'Donnell has a strategy.
Barbra Streisand has a strategy.
My newspaper boy has a strategy.
My garbageman has a strategy.
Gen. McPeak is supporting John Kerry because "...he has a strategy"??????
WELL WHO IN THE HECK DOESN'T "HAVE A STRATEGY"? I'm sure if you went into a local bar--even the town drunk would have "A STRATEGY"!!
Heck, in World War II, even Neville Chamerlain "HAD A STRATEGY"!!! <--rolling eyes

the dumbest part of the ad is not only that he says F'n Liar has a strategy, but that it is a "common sense" strategy.
The one thing that F'n Liar lacks above all else is common sense. If he had any common sense, he wouldn't need to be revamping his entire campaign team less than 2 months from the election.
If he had any common sense he wouldn't have made Vietnam the central pillar of his campaign.
If he had any common sense, he wouldn't be running for the Presidency in the first place, because he would realize he is completely unqualified and miserably unfit.

I served in the Air Force when McPeak was the CinC and he was pretty much universally derided as clueless. We were glad to see him go. Too bad he's still spouting nonsense today!
foolish. not only does he not have a strategy, most dems couldn't even tell you if he is for or against the war.
I agree it sounds like a weak ad. I have not seen it. However, I guess the implication is to say that Bush has no strategy, Bush is stupid, Bush is over his head and who knows where he will lead the country. I think the "rats" are misunderestimating W again. Also, they must think the American people are pretty stupid.

I agree with the 'implication'. However, the ad makes it look like he would even support my garbageman--as long as my garbageman had "a strategy".
McPeak was a Deaniack before throwing his support behind Kerry. Compared to Dean Kerry does have a strategy.
