Prime-time Republicans are hard to take

BY HUGH PEARSON Hugh Pearson is currently working on a biography of James Weldon Johnson and is a publisher of the Web site, NYAge.Net.

September 2, 2004

As I watched Tuesday night's network coverage of the unrelenting political propaganda hour known as the Republican National Convention, the first thought that came to mind was of old newsreels of those self-congratulatory Nazi rallies held in Germany during the reign of Adolf Hitler.

For many people, I'm sure, such a comparison sounds extreme. Yet, just as the Nazis were obsessed with endless displays of swastikas, the Republicans are obsessed with the red, white and blue (for that matter, the Democrats are, too).

In the same manner that the German people were told that Nazi leadership was faultless, the Republicans are telling the American public that no one knows what's best for the world except the current leadership in the White House.

"If you believe this country and not the United Nations is the best hope for democracy, then you are a Republican!" bellowed California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Interestingly enough James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938) (the subject of Pearson's new book), was a Republican who was forced out of his diplomatic by the administration of Democrat Woodrow Wilson.

As usual with leftist propaganda, there is not a single reference to the actual, self-declared, objectively provable Jew-haters and violent totalitarians of the world, the Islamic "militants" with whom we are at war. Reversing this obvious identification, characterizing those who resist Islamic fascism as Nazis, is a Big Lie that Herr Goebbels would envy.

This evil and stupid diatribe is almost laughable in its numerous fallacies and unconcious projections. Schwarzeneggar's accent is Pearson's real point in emphasizing him, instead of, say, Zell Miller or the President himself.

This is really only newsworthy as evidence of current leftist thinking and the likely direction of future leftist action. Who among us would not take up arms to resist a Nazi regime? This article, like many other recent lefty diatribes, is an incitement to violence on its face. The left authorities are whipping up their followers for a violent showdown. Big lies about the legitimacy of the election will furnish the rationale. Pearson is an associate of demagogue Congressmen Major "sharkbait" Owens and Alcee Hastings, the Bush-hating criminal and impeached federal judge who will head the European election "observers".

How cute. The moronic little liberal actually thinks that the American flag and the Nazi flag are identical in meaning since both of them are... flags.

More brainless mush from the Leftist idiot brownshirts.

These are the people who go insane if you call them Commies. But it's perfectly fine for them to call us Nazis. This guy is hopeless and completely out of touch with reality. The fact that Pearson and his ideological brothers are so far gone indicates to me that maybe we really are winning.

If you want to see the true Nazis, then visit the indymedias, which (like Moore) is where that "writer" got its adolescent talking points.

"I don't give 'em hell, I just give 'em the truth and it hurts like hell." Whenever I hear a lib use the Nazi line, I feel great because I know they are on the verge of hysteria. I actually enjoy watching the America haters come unglued. Much better than their smug self confidence prior to the double digit lead.

One candidate tried to ban a book, John Kerry. By their acts we shall know them.

I only got as far as swastikas = red, white & blue.

People who believe this do not deserve freedom.

Absolutely. The LLL's best hope at this point seems to be to incite a violent uprising by people who are thorougly brainwashed by pacifist rhetoric and who have no idea how to use weapons even if they had the will. As with most forms of LLL activism, the coming "people's revolution" will therefore have to depend on a committed elite, terrorists that is, with the LLL masses serving as ideological and political support for the appeasement of terrorist demands. This shows just how desperate and clueless they really are.

Clinton isn't the only Democrat who's going to need a bypass operation before this is over. Listen to this guy... he looks at Republicans, and he sees Nazis. Is he about to pop, or what?

We need more of this, and we also need some way to push these folks to the next stage, in which actual smoke comes out their ears. It ends with their heads exploding on national television.

Gruesome, yes. But an important step in the creation of a better, stronger, America.

Imagine the ratings bonanza for cable TV news. "Four injured as Susan Estrich's head explodes on MSNBC set." Then, a couple of days later, it's "Second Democratic spokesman explodes," this time on CNN. Then Brit Hume turns to Juan Williams on Fox, and before Juan can say a word, BLAM, the camera lens is splattered with neurons and goop.

The suspense would drive ratings through the roof. Who will be next? Tens of millions tune in to every appearance by Carville, because no one wants to miss it when he goes off.

Would the broadcast networks be left behind? Probably not. Right in the middle of the CBS Evening News, Dan Rather's head would explode. BOOM! People would see this neck sticking out of a suit where Dan Rather used to be.

I have high hopes for this.

Whoops there goes another Democrat plant.

Gee, a liberal compares Republicans to Nazis. Boy, I sure haven't heard that one before.

Typical conversation between a liberal and a conservative: conservative: You know I think that spending plan you libs thought up won't work.lib: oh, you're just a Nazi. conservative: and those social engineering plans of yours have failed the people you intended to help miserbly lib: you're a Nazi

you get the picture. Calling conservatives Nazis is the libs stock answer to every question or opinion posed by Republicans. How creative.
