SLAUGHTER OF THE INNOCENTS: RUSSIA BLAMES BLOODBATH ON AL-QAEDA
Daily Record ^ | 9/0604 | Jon Kelly

RUSSIAN security sources yesterday claimed al-Qaeda masterminded the Beslan bloodbath, using 'puppet' Chechen rebels.

They pointed the finger of blame at shadowy al-Qaeda financial chief Abu Omar as-Seyf and Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev.

Sergei Markov, an analyst close to the Kremlin, said: 'This is the beginning of a new political-military force joining forces against Russia.

'It is unclear exactly what the force is, but people like Basayev are merely its puppets.'

As-Seyf, an Islamic extremist, is a top-ranking al-Qaeda fanatic who intelligence sources believe is Osama bin Laden's man in Chechnya. He is in charge of channelling millions of pounds from the Arab world to rebels in the republic.

He is also thought to be a member of al-Qaeda's high council, the Shura.

Russia's Federal Security Service suspect him of being behind the recent downing of two passenger planes by Chechen separatists.

Warlord Basayev was responsible for the Moscow theatre siege in 2002, when 42 of his terrorists took 800 hostages - 129 of whom died. From his woodland hideout, he has sent out waves of suicide bombers.

Russian officials claimed several of the hostage-takers at Beslan were from Arab countries, but have yet to back that up with evidence.

Didn't the Clinton Administration go to war to support the "Muslim" Chechen rebels? Refresh my memory of the Bosnian air war Clinton fought.

Story from the 80's. Islamists took Soviet diplomate hostage in Lebanon. KGB sent leaders of the organization photo's of their home, wife and kids. Diplomate released.

I had access to cable tv for the last couple of days, and I heard that several of the dead were Arab. This was Fox News Channel. I don't doubt it for one minute.

Russia is getting hit hard. First the theatre, then the two airplanes, now the school.

Might be the same incident. But I have heard alot of corroborating evidence that the Soviets are absolute masters at non-lethal torture.

Things quite a bit more effective than putting panties on some dudes head.

Shouldn't Putin get the blessing of the French first?

How dare the Russians even think of fighting back before making a case for war at the United Nations!

Take the kid gloves off, Mr. Putin. Make the Islamic would sit up and remember.

You mean they shouldn't be supplying nuclear technology and reactors to Iran?

We're all guilty of not fighting terrorism effectively.

This story presents no proof whatsoever to back up the allegations of a Russian government that needs to deflect attention from the very poor job it did in handling the terroris attack. There's no story to "kill" yet. As far as I'm concerned, until there is real proof or even a strong likelihood of an Al Qaeda involvement, it's just evil Chechnyian terrorists so stoney-hearted that they can bayonet a child or shoot children in the back. Evil. Pure evil.

That's what I wonder about. Russia isn't the USSR. Their military doesn't even receive regular pay. You have to think their arsenal has also been neglected.

If this report is correct, it means that the Russian army will take the war beyond Russian territory.

The mainstream media is too dense to recognize that development is comparable to the United States entering WW I in 1917 or WW II in 1941.

"This story presents no proof whatsoever to back up the allegations of a Russian government that needs to deflect attention from the very poor job it did in handling the terroris attack."

The Russians did not do a terrible job, the terrorists came with one goal-to kill
Like the highjackers of 911 they wanted to buy time so they pretended to start talks
Their demands (Russia leaving Chechnyia) showed that they had no intention of dealing but wanted to stall to inflict the maximum losses
Any terror/hostage situation must from now be instantly responded to-no talking.
They were killing people in the building and refusing water to the children-no talking was possible with those crimes going on
The Russians failure was in not reacting right away, which might have saved more lives
We must learn from their mistake
We will not allow any more planes to be hijacked now that we know what they intend to do with them

The Chechnyias are Muslims
They have identified Arabs among them
Al Quaeda has long been known to have its operatives fighing in Chechnyia
The media will not attach the dots less the Iraqi war seem justified as a war against terror
Saddam had a terror group in his country
Saddam gave sanction to the PLO murderer who killed that American cripple on the ship
This is a world-wide war, not just isolated incidents

Here is a story that the MSM must kill!

So it begins: "Officials initially claimed there were nine or 10 Arabs among the hostage-takers - possibly in an attempt to back up their allegation of al-Qaeda involvement - but some surviving hostages have said they saw no Arabs in the school." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3627586.stm

Exactly right.
Both Iran and Iraq were on the Axis side in WW2
As were all the Muslims
The people we bombed under Clinton, the Serbs, were our allies in WW2

"but some surviving hostages have said they saw no Arabs in the school."

That is right, the MSM must kill the Arab involvment.
Ofcourse, there were many buildings in the school house so it is quite possible that the hostages did not see all the terrorists
All the Russians have to do is show us some of the bodies, or the prisoners (if they are Arab)

It's really more than annoying we have to go to Scotland to get our news.

...meanwhile, back to the endless glowing pictures of the Clintons at Conventions, and stories about diets for the healthy heart....
