THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.
It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.
While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.
Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits
They said children were forced to drink their own urine and eat the petals off the flowers they had brought their teachers after nearly three days without food or water in the stifling hot gym.
Their stories came as Russian officials warned that the final death toll of the siege of Middle School No 1 at Beslan in North Ossetia - in which up to 1,200 people were held captive - was likely to be more than 400.
The official toll yesterday stood at 323 which included 156 children, 10 Russian soldiers and two emergency service workers - 35 of the hostage-takers were also killed. Last night 434 people were being treated in hospital with 247 children and 85 adults in a critical condition.
A Russian official said six seriously injured children had been taken to Moscow for treatment.
"One of them is a child, just 18 months old, with many knife wounds," he said.

You sound like a liberal in the way you argue. I am sorry you feel that a disagreement means your opponent is a Mohammedan, a terrorist, a communist or whatever. When you disagree with a liberal, then you are a fascist. I have been called both a communist and a fascist by various factions and wear the badge proudly. I believe in looking beyond the today, and viewing all people as potentially redeemed in Christs' name. It is true I am unorthodox, but I see this as a good thing.

I thought about adoption too. The problem with terrorists is that they mix in with civilians, as the KLA did in Kosovo. If you listened to the media, you would have thought all Serbs were vicious, baby-raping killers, but that is far from the truth, and I extend the same courtesy to any group or religion lumped in with terrorists.
I agree Islam is not a peaceful religion, but at one time Christianity wasn't either. Prosperity seems to be the cure for this and I pray that Muslim individuals share in that oil wealth and get an education and the right to worship as they please. I do think that is part of the solution, rather than angering the rank and file even more.
HOW is the question. I admit to being a pacifist, only two generations removed from my Mennonite heritage. In no way does that make me a Mohammedan. During World War two, my ancestors were interned, even though they were pacifists. I don't know why I stay on FR, but my ancestors stayed in America because they knew that despite the war fervor, America was and is the best and freest nation in the world.
Free republic is the best place on the net to get information, and despite the fact that I am an independent, libertarian type, I still enjoy being here. If I tried to get on a liberal forum, they'd definitely kick me off for my views on immigration, abortion, Mumia, etc.. Here at least I can voice opposition and have time to dodge the missiles lobbed at me!

As easily as they hid the photos and video of the 9/11 jumpers, heads, arms and bodied strewn about the WTC site, which I saw with my own eyes. I wish I had a videorecorder with me at the time...I never dreamed how the truth would be kept from us to undermine the President's war on terror.
I am not a dude and have already posted twice those passages. You are right, OUR new covenant religion does not condone violence and another poster pointed out that the OT does not order followers to kill in the present. That was a point I had never considered, but I haven't read the Koran and haven't confirmed that they do order people to kill infidels in the present. I have also done a study of Pagan religions in that area, I have found many Koranic beleifs come from pagan beleifs. I think a good way to evangelize is to point those out to Muslims who are literate, so that they will know they are following a false religion.. One that constantly renews the virginity of the 70 sluts in paradise....Could you IMAGINE those hijackers, while people were living a horror, were probably aroused at the thought....sick.
The only way for me to really know is to read the Koran, and being here has convinced me that I must, especially given the numbers of followers. Christian evangelists should take note.

I don't believe Muslims HAVE the choice, they have no freedom of religion, no freedom of the press, etc.. Most can't even read. They are brainwashed and the penalty for "heresay" is death in most of their countries, even those we are allied with. I feel great sympathy for them and pray that if anything good comes of all this, that the people will eventually have the freedom to make their own choices, free of persecution.
I do not want to be rude, but just believe me-those words of English language that make 13-year old girls shy where among the first I learned. And please feel that all of them were told you in different combinations.

Yep, I too fear donating money "for the children" because it might be going for weapons to blow up my family member who is in the service.
It is nice to know there is someone here who understands that not all Muslims are evil people. I tell you, though, I don't want them coming here to live, basically because of cultural considerations. I had a confrontation with one at the horse races. He blamed me because a guy in front of me was taking too long to bet. I said I wasn't with him, and they guy rolled his eyes and said "Sure you're not." I promptly said "Why don't you adress your comments to the gentleman in front of me?" He said "because you are with him." I said, "I am not with him, and you may think that I am going to put up with this c--- because I am a woman, but I tell you, mister, I will not stand for it and when you are ready to apologize, I'll be sitting by the snack stand." The arrogant jerk never apologized.
For all I know, he could have been a Christian, but the differences culturally make too many of the men sexist pigs, which is why I pray their situation at home gets better because I do not want them here.
