RUSSIA: Europeans Blame Russia for School Massacre
September 4, 2004: Russia has ordered North Ossetia to be sealed off, and more troops and police have been sent in. So far, 20 of the terrorists have been killed, ten of them said to be Arabs, and three captured. At least four more were still on the loose. One of the teenage captives reported that the terrorists had placed bombs all over the school gymnasium, where many of the hostages were being held. She said some of the bombs were taped to the wall, and tape on one bomb came loose, the bomb fell and went off, causing the terrorists to panic and set off more bombs and start shooting at hostages. While most countries offered condolences to Russia, the European Union demanded to know why there were so many casualties. The European Union has long held Russia responsible for the Chechen situation, downplaying the role of Chechen gangsters, religious fanatics and terrorists.

Perhaps Russia should borrow a phrase from Dick Cheney when dealing with scumbag politicians.

Well, the EU knows it has to appease its own growing Mohammedan population, and the Arab states they do business with.

That's scary. Furnishing the cash to these terrorists to live and fight another day.Undermining the sacrifice of every American soldier who has died fighting the monsters, and the death of every victim of their hate.

The Bible says that every nation will be judged according to how it judges Israel. Russia has consistantly sided with Palestinians, and now it has its own Palestinian terrorism.

This is an outrage. Arab and Chechen terrorists perform horrible atrocities in a Russian school, and the EU blames Russia. This just goes to show what a worthless piece of crap the EU is. EU would love to do Kosovo treatment to Russia.

Send all the Chechens to France and Holland. Problem solved. They are made for each other.

In a contrary sense, the Europeans are correct: Russia needs to get better and smarter about killing terrorists. The Beslan atrocity is a tragic humiliation to the police and military "power ministries", exposing fundamental weakness due to corruption and organizational decay. Beslan is also a blowback from Russia's strategy of support for gangster regimes and groups in the region as a way to project power. Putin's popularity is now at risk.

Agreed. If you add Britain, which is reasonable to do as long as Blair can hold on to the leadership of his party, it would be just like the old days.

It did not seem to have bothered the Romans. Their empire lasted hundreds of years after the sack of the temple and the Eastern half where the ctual temple was lasted 1,000 years more. The English kicked out all their Jews in the middle ages and they only grew in power. Nixon helped Israel in its time of need - God seems not to have helped him over that Watergate thing. Garbage theology.

It's ridiculous. The Russian government had no other choice. There was no way all the hostages were coming out unscathed. As bad as it was it could have been even worse.

I couldn't agree with you more!
Germany and France will secede from the E.U. and become part of the Middle East.
The faster we can get out Troops out of Germany, I say the better.
Beer, bratwurst, sauerkraut and the polka will be history soon for Germany, and Herr Schroeder may even be fitted for a turban by the Muslims or a noose by the conservative party in German.
It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.
And one last thing, IMHO, we are going to see a similar school incident in France and the only ones left out of school will be those wearing headscarves.
To: Destro
Not surprising. The BBC is neither objective nor subtle.
