I haven't seen the official AP retraction that Newsmax refers to here. Has anyone else seen it?

AP is slime. They can't unring the bell. In the tank of Kerry. LSM bias is outrageously apparent at every turn.

retraction is not enough...You're right...HARAKIRI would be more appropriate.

Yeah, retraction without an apology and heads rolling isn't much. But even five years ago we could never have forced them to admit it. We are winning.

retraction is not enough. Right you are!
Firing the reporter who thought up this bit of slime would seem appropriate.

I'm not saying my EMail to AP caused this, but I'll bet many more did.

I was really PO'ed at NEWMAX for reporting on the wrong facts in the first place. They had the old story on their website for 24 hours. It had long been debunked and still it sat on their site.
I wrote both Newsmax and Carl Limbacher to complain. I think this was sloppy on their part and ruins their credibility. This story was known to be false almost right after the original appeared yesterday afternoon. One just needs to LISTEN to the audio and read the original transcripts of President Bush's speech to prove there were no boos.
This situation just proves most news outlets report blindly without their own research. If a few Free Republic posters can debunk this story within minutes why can't the media?
I'm still livid. I will not let AP and those that continued this charade off the hook.

The retraction should be the story.
Where's the accountability -- who reported? why? other articles attributed to this person? all this, not to mention other AP lies and distortion.

FREEPERS are dead right. This lib slimer must be forced to make a NATIONAL APOLOGY on prime time directly to the President. He must be accompanied by his editor and all in the chain of command. I this LIEING isn't stopped NOW the truth will be out of style before November.
To: kattracks
If the AP can monkey around with a clear black and white issue like whether or not there were boos, imagine what they have been doing with stories that are not so clear cut.
Yep, there's no left wing biases at all/sarcasm.
