I think the all the booing came from the AP reporter who was probably booing Bush.

The Mercury News just said Drudge is taken "with a grain of salt" because of his reporting of the alleged Kerry affair.
Will people now take the AP with "a grain of salt"?

There is a tremendous difference between a high-pitched "whooo" and a deep "booo." Methinks AP reporters just aren't used to being around men with deep voices.

The audio is quite clear: There is a combination of applause and a few folks going Wooooo. Some people just do that when applauding.
Booing is a distinctly different pitch.
