You are quite correct that there is no justifying the slaughter of children (or large numbers of adult civilians for that matter). Yet that has been going on in this region for years. Check out some of the other victims.

It would be interesting to hear some practical suggestions for ending the slaughter (as opposed to righteous posturing about the horror of it all, and slogans that amount to little more than angry bellowing).
