WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The following statement is from Constitution Party Presidential candidate Michael Anthony Peroutka whose running mate is Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Pensacola, Florida:
Is it just me or does anybody else believe that the remarks of the Bush twins at the Republican Convention were foolish, embarrassing, dishonorable to their parents and grandparents, and not funny. Did anybody else cringe and feel sorry for our President and country when Jenna Bush said that Grandma Barbara Bush is "not very hip" because she thinks the TV show "Sex And The City" is "something married people do, but never talk about?"
Jenna Bush's assertion that "Outkast" is a band and "not a bunch of misfits" is --- well, just Google this motley, foul-mouthed, toilet-tongued crew. Check out their photos and lyrics. And I think you'll agree that the word "misfit" doesn't even begin to accurately describe these raunchy rappers.
As for Jenna Bush saying that her Mom and Dad, if begged, would "shake it like a Polaroid picture" (an "Outkast" lyric), the folks at Polaroid say their pictures should not be shaken. A Polaroid spokesman says: "Almost everybody does it, thinking that shaking accelerates the development process, but if you shake it too vigorously you could distort the image. A casual shake typically doesn't affect it."
Barbara Bush said she and Jenna, while not very political, love their Dad "too much to stand back and watch from the sidelines." So, they are campaigning for him. But if they love their Dad, and I'm sure they do, and want to help him, perhaps they should not only stand back and watch from the sidelines but also be quiet while they are standing and watching.
Finally, "Outkast" was not at the GOP Convention. But there were those who were cast out and not allowed to speak there in primetime --- any identifiable outspoken conservative who is: Pro-life; anti-illegal immigration; pro-Second Amendment; anti-Big Government; against Federally-funded education; and anti the war in Iraq.
LOL, well I'm probably what you would consider a right winger Christian extremist, BUT I still think this guy's attention-seeking press release sucks and beneath a normal adult, much less one who's running for president. And, hey, OutKast's music is kinda fun to listen to!

OutKast drops by Republican National Convention

NEW YORK — A day after Jenna Bush gave Republicans a pop-culture lesson by dropping OutKast's name, half the hip hop duo showed up at the GOP convention to encourage young people to vote.
André Benjamin, better known to his fans as André 3000, came by Madison Square Garden on Wednesday to do interviews for a documentary he's making for HBO on his transformation from an apolitical musician to a voter-registration activist.
"This is my first vote," Benjamin, 29, told The Associated Press.
The film complements Benjamin's activities with "Declare Yourself," a nonpartisan group that's raised millions to try to get young people to the polls.
Earlier in the day he interviewed Jenna and Barbara Bush — who he said surprised him by mentioning his group in their convention speech Tuesday.
Personally I believe Barbara and Jenna did not write that speech. I thought it was ok, not great, but good in places. My favorite was Jenna: "We had a hamster too.... lets just say ours didn't make it."

You are so right! I can remember when Ma Richards went after GW with a pack of lies -- Barbara Bush hit the campaign trail and went after Ma. She said you can go after my husband but not my children. I can only imagine what she is going to say when she reads this crap about her granddaughters!

My favorite part is that the Constitution party actually had to pay money to post this press release.
How about their candidate claims that in his first day of office (if a meteor should strike the earth and take out every other candidate) as president, he would end abortion in America. I guess Peroutka hasn't gotten to the portion of the Constitution regarding Presidental powers and the different branches of government.

"On March 17, there was an article written about my husband, Michael Peroutka. The impression this article gives is that Michael is a bad father who abandoned my children, Dawn and Holly Hubbard, born during a marriage which ended with the death of my first husband ("God, Family, Republic").

Both Michael and I have forgiven Dawn and Holly and we pray for their restoration.
To my knowledge, your reporter made no effort to contact me and get my side of the story. It's clear to me that this article was written to try to discredit my husband as he campaigns for the presidency. I have been happily married to Michael for 18 years. I know him very well, and it is my opinion that God, Family, Republic is the perfect theme for my husband's campaign. He is a man of integrity, compassion, honor, duty, and love for his family and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

There is something "not right" about this "press release". If I am wrong and he did write it,then what's "not right" is Mr. Peroutka and we should feel sorry for him. On the other hand,it could be something released by an "Onion" type publication. I'll just wait for confirmation of one or the other before wasting any more time on it.

Vows to outlaw abortions by executive order declaring all unborn 'people', and magically using the fifth amendment as follows:
"U.S. Attorneys could be appointed who understood that the unborn child is a person under the Fifth Amendment and shall not be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process," he said. "So I believe that it is doable on Day 1."
Unfortunately the fifth amendment doesn't limit the powers of private citizens, it limits the powers of government. So in essence, the candidate from the party that supposedly respects the constituion the most would completely twist it and shred it to accomplish his goals.
I'm sorry, but with all the serious reasons conservatives can disagree with the President on, they're goign after the twins' silliness? Sad, disgusting, pathetic.
Before the convention, I was sweriously considering voting for Peroutka, as a protest against Bush's refusal to stand up for conservativism. (I live in a solidly red state.) The convention has me excited for the new term, and I think Bush did lay out a conservative agenda. But apart from that, I don't think I could ever vote for such a LOSER as Peroutka turns out to be.

I thought the Twins' act was pretty lame. Very bad writing. It was hard to listen to without cringing.
