The AP has blatently lied to the American people in hopes of boosting John F. Kerry's poll numbers. The AP shamelessly used the fact that ex-President Bill Clinton suffered a heart attack as a lead-in to an attack story that accused George W. Bush of not caring about the fact that a former President fights to stave off his demise.
Audience boos as Bush offers best wishes for Clinton's recovery By Associated Press, 9/3/2004 13:57
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) President Bush on Friday wished Bill Clinton ''best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery.''
''He's is in our thoughts and prayers,'' Bush said at a campaign rally.
Bush's audience of thousands in West Allis, Wis., booed. Bush did nothing to stop them.
Pravda would have written with less malice about Ronald Reagan during the early 1980's. This pathetically biased article lowers the AP to the level of MoveOn.Org.
The good news is that the transcript of the speech is available to correct the shameless propagandic exercise attempted by the AP.
Text of Bush's remarks in West Allis Posted: Sept. 3, 2004
En route here we just received news that President Clinton has been hospitalized in New York. He is in our thoughts and prayers. We send him our best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery. (Applause.)
I've always wondered who the AP was actually associated with. In this political season, it apparantly spends it's spare time hobknobbing with staffers from John F. Kerry For President.
I saw the rally. All applauded. AP is full of it.
When do we get the story of the beloved Hillary dropping everything in DC and rushing to the side of her lover man.
That junk food will get ya every time.
I was there. People DID pause to pray on the spot, but there were no boo's!
It makes me laugh how "The National Enquirer" has become a more reliable source for information than the Associated Press!!
Chris Matthews has the story on his newsletter that he sends out to thousands every day. I wrote MSNBC to complain but they won't retract it.
I saw the clip, no they didn't.
Do you know who authored the AP hit piece?
AP NAtional says it was AP Regional Wisconsin.
AP Regional Wisconsin says it was AP National.
Neither Office will give out the name of the reporter.
AP National 212-621-1600
AP Milwauakee 414-225-3580
SOROS?
Hardball with Chris Matthews [MSNBC_Hardball_NewsMail@MSNBC.COM]
Foxnews has also played the video of Bush's comments during their Foxnews Live with Brit Hume. So, there is video of this event. I don't think that the AP can lie about this for long.
Again Old Media is proven as liars by the New Media.
Why would any other news organization by anonymous news? Which is what this amounts to when AP refuses to put a byline on a story and/or disclose the name of the reporter.
I would not doubt that this tale may have been an intentional and premeditated piece of propaganda aimed directly at the Bush campaign. Could be that we are going to be facing more of these fabrications from now until Election Day.
Be alert!
