Emmy Award winner Dennis Miller brings his take-no-prisoners, suffer-no-fools style to CNBC’s prime time lineup. Host and Executive Producer: Dennis Miller Senior Producer and Head Writer: Eddie Feldmann E-mail Address: dennismillershow@nbc.com

About Dennis Miller Emmy-award-winning comedian Dennis Miller is the host of CNBC's "Dennis Miller" (M-F, 9-10 p.m. ET/PT), a topical interview talk show featuring reasoned discourse, opinion and humor. Miller also serves as executive producer of the program, which is produced by NBC Studios. It's been said that Miller is "one of the premiere comedy talents in America today..." While others are blunt assessing Miller's comedic stature, Dennis himself makes a virtue of understatement, but there is nothing low-key about his career

Recently I saw some ratings for nighttime talkshows. Hannity and Colmes had a 2.1 share, O'Rielly 2.0, then I saw the one that made me sad, Dennis Miller at 0.1. The first broadcast does come on TV each weeknight opposite Hannity, 9 ET, 6 PT, but it is rebroadcast at 12 ET, and 9 PT each night. I watch Hannity and Colmes and O'Rielly but I never miss one of the two broadcasts of Dennis's show either. When I'm not home, TIVO gets it. Last night I watched the late showing because there were a couple of speeches in New York that I wanted to watch. Dennis had Bush's dad, Bush 41, on to talk about the election and his sons speech that was coming up later in the night because the show is pre-recorded.

The reason I posted this is because I'm worried about the ratings. Dennis brings comedy to conservatism that makes even his liberal guests laugh at themselves. At least anyone who believes that 'flush the Johns' is not only a good idea but also kind of humorous would love this show. I just don't want it to get cancelled and though possibly because of its showing on CNBC, or that it is opposite Hannity, that some might not have had a chance to watch it. If this type of post is not what should be done then just don't read it. I simply love the show and don't want to see it get cancelled.

They need a better lead-in for Dennis, and a better show after it. He's on a very serious network (biased, but serious on economic issues). And he's followed by that idiot McEnroe. Where will his audience come from? It's always about programming and they have done a poor job for Dennis. Maybe if MSNBC is discontinued he could at least have Hardball as a lead-in or follow-up and have an audience tuned-in that follows politcs.

If Miller had gone to Fox, he'd be a lot better off in the ratings dept. I like him too but his show is lame 75% of the time.

Isn't Dennis on MSNBC? If so, that's his problem. Now, I watch MSNBC while the markets are open, as do many other people. Once the market closes, so does MSNBC.

I have actual switched from H&C to Miller . . I like a little wit to my politics over the yapping heads. It gets tired.

Yeah but everything he talks about is a week old. Not all shows have to be live but dang, at least talk about what's happening this week. I do like his cleverness.

I, too, find myself switching to Dennis Miller at times. I love Sean, but sometimes he's too Chrissy! Why don't they cut mikes instead of 4 people carrying on conversations?

Miller's show repeats about 11p.m. on CNBC. I watch him then.

I think he has an off the wall kind of humor--the kind I like,

I agree. His needs to be a live show five nights a week.

I was watching him alot in the beginning, but the reruns are killing it. Reruns do not work with a daily issue driven format.

What is really sad is that blowhard O'Reilly still has high ratings. I will never watch him after he trashed the swifties. While switching radio stations this afternoon, I caught a brief statement wherein he trashed Zell Miller. He is in the tank for Kerry - not an independent.

Miller has a famous line something like "The only reason why Rush Limbaugh is mad is that some black child did not call him sir".

Miller will not back down on from this statement. Unless he can put forth some evidence of Rush's racism, I say he can go to hell.

Miller is one of my favorite shows to flip through.

If we could broker a trade for Greta at Fox, I would be a happy man.

Cheers!

I want to like the dm show, but can't. First, he's got to lose the monkey. I don't know, there's something "not right" about a comedy guy doing primarily political commentary. He's smart, witty, clever, but I can't watch more than 2-3 minutes of it. The only comparable show that works for me is that Colin Quinn show Tough Crowd - maybe Miller needs to mix it up a bit with other comics.

I like Dennis's show a lot. It really is funny and he gives the liberals a fair chance to make their point. I think part of the problem is that he doesn't have enough big names on the show to draw viewers. A lot of the people who interviews are pretty minor players. Some of them are very dull.
