"He said he could take the action because Kerry & Edwards are a losing ticket and have no chance of winning in November.

"He said Arnold & Rudy did him in. WOW!"

That is my feeling on this poll. This was based on what Rudy and Arnold said.

The next poll this weekend will show Zell's and GW's impact with their outstanding speeches.

Help...I need to understand how nearly 2/3 thirds believe Bush is doing a good job in handling the war on terror, but the numbers are much weaker for handling Iraq???

Iraq has been a major element for the War on Terror. Wouldn't the numbers be similar?

Reminds me of the line where they asked Ronald Reagan didn't he ever feel he'd made a mistake.

He said "Yes, I used to be a Democrat."

ROTFLMAO!!!!

Ok, but if Gallup has these same results then you will join the celebration, right? When does Gallup come out?

Looking at the internals, we see that Bush has about 15-20 points on leadership issues. For example,

Terrorism: 57% trust Bush to handle the war on terrorism, while 36% trust Kerry.

Providing strong leadership: 56% said they trust Bush to provide strong leadership in difficult times, while 37% said they trust Kerry to provide leadership in difficult times.

Commanding the Armed Forces: 54% said they trust Bush to be commander-in-chief of the armed forces, while 39% said they trust Kerry.

The best Kerry can do is 6 points on Health Care and 3 points on "Understanding the needs of people".

Let's see them try to spin this.

Also, history shows that the incumbent can expect about 2/3's the bounce of the challenger after the respective conventions. Kerry got zero so the everyone was expecting Bush would get zero. Instead, without the full effect of Zell's or the President's speeches, he gets double digits.

Absolutely hugh.

So freaked out they've turned to God.

12. Kerry is a wimp, I hate to say.

He is running an incompetent campaign. Coming out FOR the Iraq war has alienated his base. Kerry is still Bush lite. he allows the GOP to run right over him. God help us.

Hahahaha, I heard Matt Dowd say that on Hugh Hewitt's show the other day.

Think about this one too, folks: as of today, the 527s are off the air. So George Soros has just thrown $15 million down a rathole.

Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill now on CNN looking absolutely shell-shocked!!! Trying but failing to keep her double chin up, claiming polls will go up and down, bounces will fade, blah, blah, blah.

I swear it looks like she just got out of a conference call where Kerry screamed curses at her for a 1/2 straight.

You all need to get a grip. I mean the amount of people on this board misanalyzing this bounce is incredible.

It is obviously not an Zell bounce or a Arnold bounce or even a Guiliani bounce.

There can only be one reason for this bounce and it is obvious to any person paying attention. It is the Daschle Huggy bounce.

Finally, solid confirmation of the wind blowing in the direction Luke Skyfreeper has been predicting all along:

When the dust of the 2004 election clears, John Kerry's political career will be finished by a humiliating defeat, and a shattered Democratic Party will look for a new leader, in a new election, when the Republicans have been in power for 8 years, and Americans feel the current leaders have been there too long, and it's time for a change.

When there's no clear, strong successor to George W Bush, and the Democratic party begins to regain the big Mo... with their big candidate... their savior...

She's waiting. The poll results are great news. The smile is on her face, and she's waiting.
