I have a friend who had quadruple bypass surgery and they did his PDQ, ASAP, PRONTO -- the same day he was admitted.

My heart attack woke me up at 3AM. I was hoping that it was Mr. Gall bladder, and I almost went back to sleep, but then I thought I had better have it checked. I told my wife I didn't feel well and drove myself to the hospital. Needless to say, I was chastised by all for doing that, but what the heck, I could drive and all I had were chest pains.

A reporter on CNN just said he went to the doc for mild chest pains, had some tests & went home. He went back (can't remember if he said to the doc's office or hospital) for more tests and went home. He was then told this morning to go to Columbia-Presbyterian for a bypass and he checked into C-P this morning. He'll be joined by Hillary and Chelsea later today. The press release gave no date as to when he's going to have surgery.

Has it been reported where he was when he was admitted to the Westchester Hospital? His house or the home of someone else?
Last month I lost 1/2 vision in my right eye for a few minutes. I mentioned this to my Dr. and since then I have had many tests, including a cardiac carterization last week. No blockage but my heart is enlarged .I do have blockage of carotid arteries and waiting to find out if I can have surgery. I can understand all the confusion with the press.

Offering prayers for President Clinton. The ugly spectacle that is John Kerry has moderated my opinion of Bill just a bit. He may have been a slick operator, but he was never as manifestly petty and pathologically dishonest as Kerry is.
MSNBC is reporting he will undergo surgery Tuesday.
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former President Bill Clinton has checked into a New York hospital and will undergo heart bypass surgery, U.S. networks reported on Friday.
ABC and CBS television reported that Clinton, 58, had checked into New York Presbyterian Hospital for quadruple heart bypass surgery.
A Democratic Party official told Reuters that Clinton had checked into the hospital with "chest pains." The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, could not confirm that Clinton would undergo bypass surgery.
CNN quoted a source close to the former president as saying the surgery could take place as early as Saturday.
