If this is correct, keeping it quiet for a few days was a very classy thing to do, because obviously it would have stepped all over the convention coverage. This may be the first time I have something that I can thank Clinton for doing.
Of course, I wish him no will. It's only 4 years since he was Prez.. Why didn't we know about this? Why isn't Kerry releasing his medical files?
If you look under his eyes you see the first sign of heart problems.
I think I'm going to lie down for a bit.
We live in historical times.
"Maybe he will make peace with his Maker."
I can certainly pray for that.
That's what I was thinking. A routine physical like the one he no doubt gets would disclose this pretty quickly.
I don't think I've ever mentioned here that my husband had his 3rd heart surgery on the morning of 9-ll. It was quite a morning for me, as I watched the towers go down right before I had to drive to the hospital to see Dean before he went into surgery. All through the hospital, (Crawford Long in Atlanta), doctors, nurses, orderlies, everone was gathered around tvs in patients' rooms. Eerie, awful, it was such a scary day for me.
As a wife who's been through it, and the aftermath, I"ll watch to see how Hillary conducts herself through this personal crisis. We'll see if even this event is used by the left to generate good press, maximized for full PR benefit, or if they do themselves proud...as I suspect our side would do.
Former President Clinton Admitted to Hospital
Friday, September 03, 2004
NEW YORK Former President Bill Clinton has been admitted to a New York hospital, a source confirmed to FOX News.
The president is undergoing heart bypass surgery after a source confirmed that Clinton was admitted after encountering a blockage in his arteries.
Clinton was one of the youngest presidents to have entered office after being elected in 1992. In July, he appeared at the Democratic National Convention, where he gave a rousing speech to rally support for John Kerry.
Sources gave no indication that Clinton would suffer any damage from what has become a frequently-performed procedure.
Reality Check: "Bubba" Klintoon "Starved for Attention" after the GOP Convention in NYC or "Shot by enraged husband, after Bubba (an known serial rapist) raped his wife".
My thoughts exactly.
Agree. Especially if there are lesions present. That would indicate some prior activity.
BTTT!
You have it it on the head. Ole Slick is a long time coke user.
Many studies have shoiwn that middle-aged males are far more likely to have coronaries during sex with women other than their wives..We shall have to see how much detail comes out as to "where he was" when the ambulance was called....
I hope the reporting is wrong
If she is not by his side at a time like this ... it's pretty sad
This is serious stuff going on with his heart
Thank you. I guess we're both extremely extreme! Next, they'll be on their sanctimonious knees here praying for Charles Manson.
Hillary is already doing internal polling to see how it will affect her.
If true.. I am sorry to hear this. Lurch has almost made this man look like a saint.
In any event, this might give him some opportunity to look at his life & reflect. (and hopefull change) Prayers for him along those lines.
Bypass is pretty routine anymore.. but still serious.
Thanks for thread. I had just heard it via Roger Hitchcock (rush sub) a few minutes ago
There has to be a reason why we remain above pettiness, unlike others, and the above is a good reason. Thanks, goodhearted FReepers.
I too offer my prayers for his speedy recovery.
Nah, I'm a Christian and I was not worried. The doctor said to me, "You're having a heart attack." I said, "How do you know?". He showed me my EKG. Boy, was that "neat". It was a humongous hill. I had to wait a few days for my bypass, but it went well.(obviously).
