Morris is not always wrong. I was bored at the beginning of Bush's speech -- it wasn't what I had been expecting. But that speech transformed itself as he went, and that man covered everything. It went a little longer than some expected, but it had to. I am amazed at what President Bush was able to accomplish in one speech.
One of his big problems is that Morris has an opinion on everything. As such, he is both right and wrong about more things than most pundits.
The speech was clocked to be under 40 minutes. But when you are interrupted 108 times for applause (WOW!), it is bound to be a bit longer than planned.
My hope is that the undecided and persuadable really listen to what he said. If they did, they were probably persuaded.
One of the local socialist pundits here in Sodom on the Sound whined last night that the speech said little, had little substance, same ole same ole Bush crap, would gain him no bump, she expected no bump, then hedged and said well maybe a very very slight bump, but over all the speech did little, made little sense, would not inspire anyone at all, typical conservative B.S. The whine continues.
