Great post!4331
Thanks for the "fun" paragraph of Bush's speech. That was the ONLY part of his speech I couldn't hear, and when I hear people laughing and I don't know what they're laughing about, I want to crawl in a hole.
No flags on the floor at this convention (I hope)! LIke the DNC where they were thrown on the floor like trash...by trash.
Tina Turner introducing Kerry!
Yes, he did. That self-deprecation and asking the permission of the American people to forgive his shortcomings and help be a better man and a better President did it. Its very different from you know, John F*ckin's opening remark about being born in the "west wing" with its arrogant sense of entitlement. The President is at heart a humble man. And in a few closing paragraphs he punctured the ABB's crowd's caricature of him as man possessed of a sneer, with an arrogant demeanor and a haughty swagger. That's not the President we know and admire and he showed complete humility in front of the Convention delegates and the American people. He did the unexpected and I think the people of this country will give him the second chance he asked for so gracefully. America is after all, a country of new beginnings. President Bush did us all proud tonight. I have no doubt he will win in November.
yea, I'm stuck with PBS, actually pretty fair and balanced tonite. They shot right down the middle. It was funny to see one of their guys... not David Brookes, the other guy, forget his name, the democrat - try to pick a negative out and basically he came up with "none of these new domestic initiatives will happen". LOL
This speech is a repudiation of the NEW DEAL! We can finally get rid of Roosevelt's crippling agenda! Hopefully, some of this new spending Bush is promising will be cut back. I thought it was a very good speech. I wish he would have talked more about school choice. That's my only gripe. He nailed Kerry good on all fronts and also had good humor. This will be one of the most famous speeches in American History.
LOL
Ut oh, here's the loser is up.
BRAVO!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Too funny, your conceit is staggering, it must be hard to carry.
At least whatever bias I have in my life is the result of living, rather than blind obedience to media P.C. drivel.
Yarn! That's what he spins.
Yep -- CHris Matthews was already talking about the bounce they got in the first few days... before they cut away to Kerry/Edwards. (But this is probably helping us to... all this desperation.)
This was a speech to HEAR,not read.Get someone to explain it all to you, prdecious. :-)
Dowd on Cnn said Bush ripped Kerrys face off.
Dowd is strange. Like she is on downers.
Sounded more like "Tina" Edwards :o)
Thats a great pic...Thanks!
and for once, Bill Kristol was totally positive about the President and Republicans... he even said the WH is ready to fight on domestic issues... (Mara on the other hand was her back-handed, negative-to-the-GOP self...
MSNBC is showing this fiasco live. Edwards started out calling all the attacks on Kerry's record false. I turned it off.
Now................that is good! You may have hit the nail on the head! And I think you're right! I haven't read Esther in a while.
Unfreakinbelievable. Dumb and dumber are on CNBC. I don't think there ever has been a presidential candidate to appear at a rally on the same day as their opponents' convention. He is despicable.
