----the quasi, psuedo , and real Marxists haven't changed much since the Roosevelt days (think the Hollywood Ten-still portrayed as martyrs)---the ignorant led by the truly evil---
However, it doesn't look that way...

Does anyone know what connection William Ayers and
Bernadine Dohrn might have with this organization? They
were part of the original Weatherman organization, and
now teach in Chicago, one at Northwestern University as
a law professor, and one at University of Illinois as an
eduction teacher.
No American (with an ounce of national pride and self respect) wants to see this... third world, Euro-barbarian, mob mayhem unleashed on the streets of a great American city. They were shocked to see anarchist thugs destroying the jewel of the Northwest. They are certainly horrified to see them kicking the wounded Lady of Liberty. Thugs make their point through violence, screaming, lawlessness and intimidation... just like Terrorists! Americans don't want that, and they certainly don't want a candidate that represents it.
Nero fiddled while his thugs torch Rome. Kerry plans to Windsurf while his thugs burn and sack New York City. History will remember the former... it will appropriately forget the latter completely; as will we all in three months.

Think, a rose by any other name, then think of the symbol of the fist holding a rose.
It came close though. We were saved by the Swiftboat Vets.
I haven't heard anything specific about Dohrn or Ayres, just that former Weatherman were working with the protesters.
Did you happen to see the dorky picture of Kerry windsurfing, yesterday?

Thanks for that link, I knew that I had read that article somewhere, but I didn't have a clue where.
Is he wind-surfing the Rubicon in a Toga?
These delusional cretins are real maniacs and they have a mainstream following and a party that needs their activities to effect an election.

See post #15.
In Ron Chepesiuks Sixties Radicals, Then and Now Bernardine Dohrn explained her theory on the Weather Undergrounds Vietnam protests, and the violence that came with it:
R.C.: Did you come to the conclusion that violence was the way to go?
B.D: I dont think I ever came to that conclusion. I never thought violence was a good thing in a strategic sense. What happened was that I found the combination of militancy and the notion of direct action to be a very compelling militant. I thought that people who were armchair radicals said they followed Mao, Castro, and Ho Chi Minh but werent ready to act on their beliefs were irrelevant and even destructive. We saw the government escalate the war... and our attempt to respond to that in an appropriate way was called by everybody violent; ours was a very decentralized and anarchistic movement the militancy remained symbolic. We called it propaganda of the deed
(Chepesiuk 235).
I have this little gem - a pocketbook edition from the "Paperback Library". It is Defiance #3. A radical review: Editor Dotson Rader. Associate Editors: Richard Lorber, Tom Seligson. 1971. NY. NY. Herewith a little of Dotson's introduction.
"...the growing populations of street people, of disaffected, alienated, turned off, unbought, gutsy, beautiful, rebellious, free youth,in the cities and towns of America, experimenting with the new non-competitive comunialistic alternative life styles....." Mr Dotson goes on to say: " the empire has peaked.....the house of cards is falling, it is disintegrating....." He continues that it will take longer to win - but we will win nevertheless.
Old Dotson is now pushing 60 years of age- as middle class today, as all get out probably .Bernardine Dohrn holds forth in the book. Enough there to flay her brand of hate.
If "they" win, yes Western civilization is of course doomed- may take a long time though- but doomed.
My impression of the Weathermen and other anti-war radicals was that they were more wrapped up in themselves and the power of their actions than they were in the socialist agenda that they were supporting.
