The cable numbers came out and have been posted on FR. Bottom line, the first (broadcast) day of the Repub Convention had a total viewership just shy of 20 million, whereas the Dems had about 14 million total on their first (broadcast) day. In context this is good news for the Republicans.

Where do you get the 20 million number from? Fox had 3.8 million, peaking at over 4 and hald million during Giulianis speech, CNN had 1.2 million and PMSDNC had 800,000, not quite close to 20 million there.
